Amount of songs I've been interested in in the other heats of Melfest, approximately zero (maybe one or two).
This has six (not you Axel). I need to do more research on Smash Into Pieces.
Not a whole lot between the three of them, I think I'd rank Latvia #1 at this moment but it could easily be Estonia on a different day. And Lithuania have certainly sent a lot worse before.
1. Croatia
2. Estonia
3. Romania
4. Italy
5. Latvia
6. Malta
7. Denmark
I probably should like Malta but something about it feels off, Denmark is not my thing at all. Croatia, Estonia and Romania are great entries and Italy is pretty good if just standard Italy.
This was the first of the Dora songs I heard before listening to all 18 and while they're all good, Nevera ever so slightly better than this, this is easily the one that sticks in the mind the most. Great entry.
Blood & Glitter next to any recent German entry at all clashes so much. Which is to say they should absolutely send it :disco:
Patty's lovely too. Surprisingly good and varied selection, that pop-punk one, Lonely Misfit, is also very fun if a disastrous choice.
Spy X Family is one of the few seasonals I've been watching this year, got to add the return to my weekly watch list again.
All three of the main family members are very watchable characters and the script so far has been super enjoyable.
so here's how I would rank them, I think they're similar to all the scores I gave in the threads.
1. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
2. Princess Mononoke
3. Howl's Moving Castle
4. Grave of the Fireflies
5. The Tale of the Princess Kaguya (best one I hadn't seen before)
6. Spirited Away
7...
I've heard of the concept but never gotten around to watching it, maybe I'll try a few!
Actually quite a lot of this movie could go on the 'how weird but adorably so' scale with scenes like that and basically whatever Totoro and his compatriots do
A great film throughout. I remembered when rewatching it just now that Totoro indeed comes across as somewhat menacing, though this is completely unfounded on anything he does. More that it's perhaps part of this respect and respectful distance the Japanese culture here keeps from the natural...
