Well this is a fun bundle :disco:

Wasn't WICKED GAME going to be the lead single or something?? And was then shelved altogether, never to be heard... until now o_O O_o o.O O.o

Two totally brand new songs from what I can make out.

It’s a shame they’ll bare bones the vinyl- there’s at least a 2/3 record set going there with the bsides.

Also, strange it doesn’t include the single mix of Wake Me Up. Unless it’s hidden under some other name…

OOH

The FAMED Wicked Game and two other new songs :disco:

Intrigued by an electronic I'll Stand By You too.

Did they do any merch with the reissue of the debut?

I could be tempted by a WWTNS t-shirt.

I could be tempted by a WWTNS t-shirt.

There was some, not that it was of interest to me.

I really hope this isn’t bare bones vinyl the more I think about it- there’s a whole second LP of b-sides and unreleased stuff and I really want it!

Now, that's more like it. I could do without a disc of remixes but it's going to come with the territory with these reissues.

To be fair, some of the GA mixes were TOP NOTCH.

I too could live without them on a giant vinyl box set, I just want a second disc with the bsides and unreleased stuff.

I mean, imagine when they get to SINGAPORE and MEMORY OF YOU and keep them cd only.

I don't think £65.99 is an awfully bad price for the bundle (two vinyls - one picture disc, one standard - and 3CD)

The Show is an oddly structured song and I've never been entirely sure which bit is the chorus. It's a series of fabulous bits that doesn't necessarily cohere but that doesn't matter so much because the bits are fabulous.

We'll all be Disco Bunnies this time next week. So exciting to have unheard material so close.

Why has disco bunny been out for 8 hours and I’ve logged on to ZERO gay hyperbole??

Structurally Disco Bunny sounds like it died so Call the Shots could SLAY

How on earth was Disco Bunny left off? It's superb!

I feel this is their most overlooked album in general. Hear Me Out is gut-wrenchingly brilliant - their best ballad for me

Also I think I Say A Prayer For You might have been the first time I noticed how lovely Nicola could sound isolated from the rest.

The Triforce of Nadine's belting, Sarah's punk-like fire and Nicola's delicate tones is what really made them stand out vocally as a group

Wicked Game sounds like an AI generated Lana Del Rey song. I really like it but glad they avoided that one. Why was it shelved altogether though if it was mooted as lead single at some point? Just seen as one cover too many maybe?

The Disco Bunny chorus :disco:

It would have fit right in on the original album, with a spit and polish and extra run through of the chorus.

Like Disco Bunny it sounds a little unfiinished but Baby When You Go would have been a wonderful b-side in the Girls Aloud tradition. I'm so pleased they are releasing these gems from the vault even if they aren't completely polished. Exciting to wonder what is in the Xenomania archive for the remaining albums.

The electronic I'll Stand By You is less of a reinvention than I expected. I guess maybe this isn't the early very different version that had been talked about previously, maybe something in between that and the single release.

Sleek thumping ultra mega super. What a surge of what they excel at.

How on earth have they kept their mouths shut about this?

Forgive the non all caps, but I've just seen Madge Minogue and I'm still breathless. How Many gays are in ambulances right now with electric pads getting bolted into them this morning...

God that intro/outro is a sprinkle of magic. The chorus is something kinda :disco::disco::disco::disco:h

On the floor (and presumably struggling to breathe). An instant classic.
