Saturday wears a nice dress, likes pegging, is not missing, is very sorry and is extra beguiling

Special shout out to the restaurant in PECKHAM last night that charged me £6 for 2/3rds of a pint.

I'm not sure I even notice when food or drink cost too much anymore. I didn't even flinch at £3.60 for a coffee.

£3.60 for a coffee, in CRYSTAL PALACE, I feel SICK.
Is it INSTANT? I'm surprised if you can get any decent coffee for less than £4 in London in a nice cafe.

We've had a lovely new cafe open around the corner from my office. I went because it was so enticing, paid £4.50 or something similar for a cortado, but made a note to stick to a bacon roll and a flat white for £2.85 in Greggs in the future.

And they have one speciality coffee on the menu that costs £12!

£3 seemed like the max for years and now no one gives a fuck!
Yes, I think once that ceiling was smashed, they realised they could charge coffee wankers anything. Charge what you like and see who will pay it.

I’m NEW to coffee and I hate real milk but quite like an oat milk latte (yeah yeah, not “real” coffee, I know). I was all smug the other day and thought I’d go grab a takeaway coffee from a local cafe on the beach and have a sunny stroll with it.

Regular sized, single shot oat milk latte and a squirt of hazelnut syrup. £5.40. FIVE POUNDS FORTY.

I won’t be doing that again in a hurry. I resented every sip.

If you're paying supplements for oat milk and syrup, £5.40 doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

As I'm sitting on the train with nothing else to do, a regular oat milk latte with hazelnut syrup would cost you £4.50 in Starbucks Bridgwater.

I realise there are supplements, absolutely, but I already think the ridiculous £1 for plant milk supplements I’ve seen are ludicrous.

And I repeat- FIVE POUNDS FORTY for a regular sized drink. Unless that was alcohol, that is still insane.

Still overpriced but I could get a BIT more onboard with that.

But crappy small town Somerset compared to a cafe on the beach? I'm not surprised they are charging a quid more.

I actually misread and presumed you meant it was a train station coffee- which always have premiums on them.

Of course I agree with a cafe on the beach (albeit a chain still- but a local chain, if that makes sense) charging more but I still think £5.40/ £4.50 is an insane price for a coffee.

Then again, I was also charged £4.25 for a Diet Coke in a pub the other day, so…

In an indoor shopping centre in Bridgwater. Delighted to be able to watch Eurovision 2019 while Mr L browses the charity shops :disco:

I've sent a message on behalf of people to a very good friend saying none of us can afford her hen do plans. She started typing and then stopped.

I feel appalling.

This moopy post coming live from Pret where a lunch for me and Tig Jr has set me back £23.50 :disco: a bit like Ag I don't really notice things costing the earth anymore but I certainly did with THIS.

I'm not normally one for reading advertising but somebody's installed a giant billboard on the side of the building on the roundabout nearby and, lit up like a Christmas tree, in giant font are the words "Britain's first astronaut preferred women's underwear". As we drove past it the other day Mr F said he didn't realise kink-shaming was allowed in advertising. Sheesh.

It's weird not to be working on the weekend after all those months.

Good but definitely needs some adjustment.
