In this particular map shows the best-selling American artist by state—click on the maps to get a better look. While there are the expected names (Elvis, Madonna, and Johnny Cash) there are a few surprises

The map above shows the best selling singer, musical artist or band from each of England’s 48 ceremonial counties. The criteria seems to be where someone has grown up rather than necessarily where they were born.

Actually it appears to be the oppposite - Nicola Roberts didn't grow up in Lincolnshire she grew up in Runcorn, Cheshire (I thought it was Liverpool but I checked- close enough).


I also find some of these dubious. There's no way there hasn't been anyone else from the entire county of Lancashire to have sold more records than Little Boots!
