Oh btw I got Actraiser Renaissance in the end, it’s quite absorbing.
The platform scenes are brief but controls well. I feel some weight in the slashing.
The sim stuff plays out more like tower defence, I don’t know if the original had that aside from shooting the demons. I don’t really like that genre and that might be what turns me off this in the end, but the characterisation is quite fun.
It really leans into the olde worlde language, easily irritated messengers of god, burly heroes and good-hearted but hopeless villagers.
