enjoyed this very much! a little less angry than I expected but quite strong hooks and melodies across the bored! obviously delicious lyricism as per. thanks @Iguana!

I listened to this twice in a row on a long drive yesterday. I’m not ready to rate yet, but Eight Easy Steps, Bees of my Knees, and Everything are my early favorites. I listened to Everything approximately ten times after my second listen of the album. I don’t like it as much as Under Rug Swept, but I liked it a lot.

Are we going to sync listen her next album? I’ve never heard it, but could host if y’all are interested!

Flavors of Entanglement? I think Iguana has that scheduled for April 4th but Havoc and Bright Lights has no slot.

It’s Knees of my Bees :D

Though I’ve just noticed Jark has made the same slip, so maybe it’s easily done.

I was going to say it is an easy slip up to make as you wouldnt expect knees to contain bees but then realise that having bees with knees isn’t any more likely. What the fuck does it actually mean anyway? Have I missed the point? Is it a Canadian expression?

The phrase was first recorded in the late 18th century, when it was used to mean 'something very small and insignificant'. Its current meaning dates from the 1920s, at which time a whole collection of American slang expressions were coined with the meaning 'an outstanding person or thing'. Examples included the flea's eyebrows, the canary's tusks, and one that still survives – the cat's whiskers. The switch in meaning for the bee's knees probably emergedbecause it was so similar in structure and pattern to these other phrases.

All right! Jeez!

I've moved it too 28 March
