Had such the crush on him back in the day
This gives some of the reasoning:Oh god... this makes me really sad.
On a related note... why is it if someone is killed or dies from illness news reports say so, but if someone takes their own life there's this code of 'his death is not being treated as suspicious'. There is this massive taboo over suicide and it needs to stop and we need to talk about it.
I would imagine that the police would want to avoid giving out a potentially false cause of death until they were 100% sure, no? Just because something looks like a suicide, they’d need to rule out any other possibilities before making a definitive proclamation.
Well it could also mean natural causes or an accident. This early on they cannot always know. But it isn't 'media code' at all, is it? The media are only reporting what the police at that stage have declared.
I suppose at that point all they can declare is that they are satisfied nobody else is involved, and therefore it isn't suspicious.
HPOTW!I can remember him in Home and Away.
