Drag Race Controversy & Drama Thread

As someone who really enjoyed Race Chaser in the past, I wish Willam would just leave, he comes from such a place of cynicism and spite when talking about anything Drag Race now. It's giving sour grapes and Alaska is just like "mmm ok wow yeah anyway" in order to keep a future All Stars offer open :D
 
I just can’t imagine, on an all stars season especially where all the girls have agents, there’s any situation where they’re DENIED A BATHROOM break if needed.

I find her nearly unbearable to listen to at this point. Alaska still seems to enjoy the show and Willam only seems to be there to find issues.
 
Willam can be as messy as she wants (which we love) but Ru will always get the last laugh because the show is still Willam's bread and butter and now she has to be a hater to pay her rent.

Problematic fave behavior.
 
The youtube footage uploaded on Willam's channel isn't showing much, but Chaser should be equal measure excellent and unbearable. Bring it on W :disco:

The guy spoke so eloquently I thought. So bravo to them. Shangela is trash. It's frustrating that I've enjoyed their persona whilst in drag so much, as I think I probably gave them the benefit of the doubt before, but I hope to never see them on the show again. This is worse than that Sherry Pie unfortunate.
 
I think part of the issue is people like Soju and Sherry Pie admitted to wrongdoing and there was tangible evidence against them. With Shangela, it’s been flat out denial and, as far as I have seen, it has been a he said/he said scenario. Shangela is also one of the best known and popular Ru Girls so it’s going to be hard to bring her down.
 
I definitely remember posting an earlier accusation somewhere in this thread at least a year or two ago, so absolutely not the first time I've heard shit about Shangela.

The comments section on the tweet is.... Interesting.
 
I've always wondered if Ru now hates Heidi cuz she left AS8 early and forced him to do a restorative circle with Kahana Montrese.

Sorry, I get that people are passionate, and insane fandoms are nothing new, but the parasocial obsessiveness with every one of about 300 queens and everything they post is nauseating.

And that's coming from someone who watches almost every season. Even Down Under.
 
I think the concern fans were expressing was that now that the drag market is so saturated with queens, Ru girls who can't get gigs anymore (or never could) are resorting to shock tactics - most of which resemble Right-Winged talking points. So they're concerned that this is going to become a common path for queens, especially ones like Kerri Colby who's....not the sharpest?

A lot of fans are also saying that the apology is disingenuous because it's just a distracting word salad, and she's mostly just congratulating herself for causing a fuss.
