I see what happened here. Tisch placed France first without hearing the song because Slimane usually produces bangers when, in fact, in this instance he's phoned in a dismal and shockingly uninspired ballad. The egg on young Table's face when he realises what's happened.

I think i'll do a re-rate this weekend (pencil that in your diaries).
 
I'm glad to see so many people saying that this has the makings of a classic year. Sadly I'm just not there yet, but I appreciate that there's potentially lots of good stuff still to come. Here's my top ten:

1. Italy
2. Lithuania
3. Spain
4. Croatia
5. Luxembourg
6. Ireland
7. Denmark
8. Poland
9. Estonia
10. Norway

I would say that I only actively enjoy my top four at the moment. The next few are perfectly solid, but Luxembourg for example is the kind of thing I would usually have hovering just outside my top ten, so if we can get 6 songs I like more than that over the next couple of weeks then I'll be satisfied.

I agree, but I'm trying to remember if I ever think that at this time of year.

Yeah, same. I think I have on occasion, but more often than not it tends to be quite backloaded.

I'm certainly not unduly concerned right now, which I have been sometimes.
 
I don’t think I actually dislike anything this year. France and Italy are competent but nothing I ever want to listen to voluntarily, Latvia is dull but builds quite nicely, and Luxembourg is quite shit and dated but it’s just nice to have them back.
 
Of the songs we’re yet to hear, I’m guessing both Georgia and the UK will be Moopy-friendly

Would there be any appetite for someone (I'm happy to if nobody else wants to!) adding up the scores to give an overall ranking? Not least so we can see *how* far ahead Austria ends up :D
