I do think it’s difficult to claim “principled” when nobody has batted an eyelid at Azerbaijan for YEARS.

Because this is like Armenia and Azerbaijan ranking each other last every year for political reasons. If you're going to create an app to rank the entries, and you remove some of them (why Azerbaijan now?) for whatever reason, it's ridiculous. My all time favourite ESC entry is from Israel, should I pretend it isn't because of what's happening? Nonsense.
