A small, but weekly shop sized student loan repayment is apparently coming my way. God knows why, I've barely paid a penny of it.
 
In better news, my favourite school are now actively asking me back, I have more shifts lined up with them.

Plus I may have a whole week of work at the school I trained at next week.

I'm also going to apply to be a GCSE marker for next year.

I'm either paying two grand for two procedures or free in London. Who actually hears those options and whips their card out?
 
I had an Amazon order* sent to a pick up place to save a few quid. Got the 'on its way' e-mail early. "Arriving by 9pm". Mate, just drop it in, I'll be home by then.

I paid nearly this much when I was having trouble with a tooth. Luckily I claimed 90% of it back through insurance though. I don't know how people are expected to pay costs like this though, and you can't get an NHS dentist round my way.
 
I'm waiting for little Kylie to finish karate and desperately trying to avoid one of the other parents. I just can't bear the small talk he makes.

I made the effort last year when Tig was new but now I've settled on which mums get a friendly hello and which mums I CBA with. I'm firmly a HEADPHONES IN mum at pick up time these days.

This one guy in particular is just so nosy and always has one better than you (whatever it is). Does my head in, just want to pick up the child and leave.

THIS IS NHS!

I wish I was someone with dental insurance. If that ever happens, it's still a few years a way, but having the initial outlay is still unlikely.
 
Is the NHS dentist situation bad on the mainland? Because we have no NHS dentists on the island anymore and we all assumed it was a shit island issue.

I've made sure I've stayed friends with the dentists I worked for so I still get cheap treatment.

Two root canals. That or have them removed. I don't really like to discuss my teeth as they're in a really poor state behind the scenes, so I really can't consider having any more removed.

Please no comments on how you've never had a filling or the like, it makes me feel like shit. It's my biggest insecurity.

I've had plenty of fillings and a root canal, so I totally understand ❤️

If you haven't had a root canal before, they're really not as bad as people make out.

Its likely we'll need one next year and I'm quite looking forward to it again. Going to try and work it so I don't have to be around so probably a fixed space in a co-working setup but being able to meet people in town for drinks after work etc is always fun, I miss it.
