People making a thing about him not doing this immediately, but it’s actually consistent with how he approached Biden’s nomination too.
 
I'm feeling more positive about America and the implications for the rest of the world than I have done in many, many years.

I understand the general sentiment of this - but the point of the call read a lot more like "black women and women of colour have done the organising and carrying for ages now, what can we do and how can we support them + Harris" rather than "let's segregate", especially given that 55% of white women voted Trump in 2020. :zombie:

I think the reason these are segregated is because the voting record of these groups are not the same and therefore the messaging needs to be different.

He was a desperation pick because he’s young and, while more extreme that most, held all the MAGA ideas they were looking for. They didn’t expect him to come out in such a terrible light from the gate. You can tell career politicians from newbies.

The rumour is that the Vance pick was the preferred choice of Elon Musk and fellow billionaire weirdo cunt Peter Thiel, as a price for their endorsement. They supposedly figured he’d be an easy pawn to manage if Trump died in office. Only he’s imploded on impact and now they’re reeling.

Could be total fan fic but very funny if true, and believable that he’d be their idea of a likable candidate.

This theory is definitely doing the rounds and it’s totally plausible.

I’m still getting over Silicon Valley going from the epicentre of progressive industry to the far right’s money tree in a decade… like we didn’t think about what happens when a bunch of nerdy manboys make way too much money for themselves
