I’m glad Shapiro has come out with a swift endorsement. I thought it would be him purely for the Pennsylvania votes but she’s gone for policy over electoral college which is probably the right rather than strategic thing to do. Pennsylvania could still come through.

It also really helps that Walz has a military background.

I dont think it’s about policy. It’s about who will get the most votes without alienating people. It’s all strategic, which I’m sure everyone involved knows. The democrats really are in lockstep with the endorsements

You wanna have Tim Walz at your thanksgiving dinner, it's the right call.

There was some unpleasantness with Shapiro and a woman who got stabbed in the back of the head 20 times!

:o I can understand getting elected after stabbing someone just once or twice, but 20 seems too many.

A few days old but interviews like this are probably what helped seal the nom for Walz.

This should be pretty effective for middle America. Well, at least until you get to the bit where Harris speaks.

Watching it too. Kamala is selling him. He looks humbled just to be there. A perfect pairing.

If America don't vote for these two, they will have finally LOSS THEIR MIND.

It’s a good but not necessarily GREAT speech, but it really doesn’t need to be because the message is so simple and easily understood.

Oh he’s reading Trump to filth.

I feel like there was never a point when Hilary Clinton was getting this kind of reaction.

She was never a favorite but we were just desperate for anything but Trump. She was never going to win because she just seemed unlikable and Trump snaked his way into the “Everyman” groups and seduced the deplorables.

This narrative of 'she was never going to win' is completely rewritten history.

She won the popular vote by 2.9 million votes and over 2%, with the second most votes any presidential candidate had ever had after Barack Obama and was the favourite with every single bookie until the evening of the results (for weeks).

The three states that she needed and lost (Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan) were all less than 1% from going her way.

'She was never going to win' is just not true at all - she got the tactics wrong by not visiting the key states she needed to in the final days of her campaign - but she absolutely could have won.

Yeah she got the popular vote (by around 200,000) but the majority of them came from the usual big states (mostly the coasts) that tend to vote Democrat already. What matters are the electoral votes and he was able to impress the majority of the middle which already lean Republican and always vote which is how he got 279 to her 218.

While he’s pretty widely hated now, he was still seen as good time Don from reality TV and his demographic were tired of a Black man running the show and they sure didn’t want a woman.

So yes, I probably should have stated it as “I” didn’t see her winning but, as history shows, she didn’t anyway.

No she got the popular vote by almost 3 million (65,853,514 to 62,984,828 to be precise) and over 2% as I said before and the 3 states that he won over were absolutely not expected to go to Trump... anyway, as history did show, she didn't win. But to say that she was 'never going to win' is just not anywhere close to the truth.
