Post an entry that demanded "you WILL vote for this!" (1 Viewer)

Everything went downhill with her vocals and the staging, but in her head she was WINNING THIS !

All of Carola's entries.
All of them successful until that one, last, and astonishingly unhinged attempt.

Look, surely if anything COMMUNES THE SPIRIT of "you WILL vote for this!", it's DISPENSING YOUR DISCO SONG STOCK STILL FROM THE TOP OF A FIFTEEN FOOT POLE and doing NOTHING ELSE!

Poor La Zarra demonstrating that sometimes demanding "you WILL vote for this" leads quickly on to being declared an enemy of the republic.

Not speaking Spanish, I like to think that in her little speech at the end of that performance, Soraya is announcing to the audience that she has hidden an explosive device somewhere in the arena, which she will detonate if she does not receive douze points from at least 15 different countries.

"Come on and TAKE ME (TAKE ME!)
come on and SHAKE ME (SHAKE ME!)
"

Has an entry BEFORE OR SINCE so powerfully channeled the energy of LOUISE WOODWARD? :disco:

This one not qualifying still irritates me. Worse still that it came last with the juries and 2nd last in the televote. What is wrong with people? This was the first and only year that I voted for a Eurovision song from outside of the UK.

The bit where she does a magic disappearing act, which is clearly meant to be impressive, but which also gives her a full 30 seconds to get to a different part of the stage :D
Which no doubt inspired Barei's powercut!

34 years on and I still regard this as the best Eurovision entry of all time (if I had a gun to my head and had to choose).

Sorry, just realised too early for televoting.

I much prefer it to Carola, but I'd say she would fit the 'you WILL vote for this' brief of the thread more. Amina was far too Gallic to demand votes in that way.

Yes - Amina couldn't care less either way, whereas nobody would have made it out of that theatre alive if Carola had lost that night on countback (:disco:)

A clear EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK example (which still feels a bit like it flattered to deceive)

Yeah, I misunderstood the thread.
