New single, another tune (and PDM needs a current thread). Interesting video:

Surely another album is due soon, after the four singles from last year.

He was also busy with ridiculous remixes:

That one sounds a bit more interesting. I like the last one and it’s still in my playlist but it doesn’t really do anything new.

Bit disappointing. It does pick up but the first couple of minutes feel strangely flat.

Roosevelt is a bore lately. PDM is 2/4 with these singles but hopefully the album takes a few more risks

Honey Boy is definitely the best one since Beat of Your Heart. it's delicious and sounds like a summer SMASH (in europe)

how many singles has this album spawned now? can he release it already? :D

I know. Single after single and no announcement. I imagine that not all of the singles from last year may make the album, which would be irritating.

Tracklist

1. W.T.P. (feat. Metronomy)
2. Beat Of Your Heart (with ÁSDÍS)
3. Dirty Pleasures (with Lorenz Rhode feat. Jake Shears)
4. Honey Boy (with Benjamin Ingrosso feat. Nile Rodgers & Shenseea)
5. Paradisco (feat. Dabeull)
6. Paradise (with Sophie and the Giants)
7. Bad Company
8. Contact (with Yung Bae feat. TOBi)
9. Can't Stop Loving You (feat. MORGAN)
10. Substitution (with Kungs feat. Julian Perretta)
11. Heartbreaker (with Chromeo)
12. Something On My Mind (with Duke Dumont & Nothing But Thieves)
13. Higher Ground (feat. Roosevelt)
14. All My Life (with The Magician)
15. Die Maschine (with Friedrich Liechtenstein)

Heartbreaker is wonderful. such a perfect distillation of his sound with a sprinkling of that joyous Chromeo shine for good measure.

I fear there won't be a dazzling epic like I Remember on it, but the album is gonna play like a really well curated playlist. expecting pure vibes and very few skips.

A departure for them really, not a fan. Althought at least they mixed it up and did their version of 2Unlimited, rather than a simple rehash.

The visuals... Herr Liechtenstein seems to be an interesting chap.

The version on Spotify is getting on for nine minutes. This track of all the PDM tracks does not need to be that long.

PDM are branching out a bit aren't they?

Not necessarily for good reason though!

He’s dabbling with more mainstream sounds and also some 70s influences as opposed to the more traditional nu disco vibes, and I’m not against the variety but it’s not working for me.

yes I've only cherry picked but the Jake track certainly BOPS NICELY. the opener with Metronomy left zero impression.

my overall feeling so far is playlist more than album

All My Life is being pushed as a single today. Not too keen on that one, and the Roosevelt was a relative disappointment earlier in the year.

Honey Boy has been a grower all year though, so I'm looking forward to cherry picking the rest.

Nice to see some new songs - It's more like a greatest hits at this point. I'm liking Can't Stop Loving You (ft MORGAN) and All My LIfe (ft The Magician).

Some of the older bops I never really got into (the Chromeo one just doesn't work for some reason) while some of them still sound great even now (particularly Beat Of Your Heart and Paradise)

I think the only proper PDM classics here are Heartbreaker and Beat of My Heart. a lot of it is feeling a bit... phoned in. Exotica was much better overall.

I'm happy with the album. Plenty of great tracks, though a lot of them are not new. Beat Of Your Heart, Something On Your Mind and Heartbreaker are still my very favourites.

I do agree that Exotica is the better album, certainly more consistent, and there is nothing here as good as Hypnotized or In The Dark. Did we hear SATG's most recent, All Rise cribbing effort? Oh dear...

Yes I do like the new Goldfrapp collab even though it doesn’t do anything new. Predictable Alison is still a bop.
