Strictly 2023

I assume the pro routine was brought forward from tomorrow's show. As they are talking to Nigel and Katya tonight I guess the Sunday show is cancelled.

I haven't been completely enamoured with either of the first two dances. In particular I didn't love the music choice for Ellie and Vito and 36 isn't quite up with their recent scores either.

Does that mean Craig is pulling for the 10 padel?

I thought they were a little out of time at the beginning but otherwise I enjoyed it greatly.

Loved that the camera caught the look of fear in Diane's face as she was up in the air. She looked a little like Jowita from a distance with that hair.

Motsi sounded quite lukewarm in her comments there I thought.

Was Joss Stone always booked for tonight, or just the first person available at short notice to fill some time?

Yes Joss Stone had been previously announced.

I don't think she sounded particularly good tonight.

LOVED Saturday night's show. Was so happy the Layton paso got the 40, as the prophet FetchFugly foresaw

The absolute state of that no-results results show though. HERE'S A VIDEO MESSAGE FROM BILLIE PIPER FOR WHAT FEELS LIKE HALF AN HOUR

And odd not to make any mention of the weirdness of having a results show with no results?? You'd think Claudia could have riffed on that to great effect, and got us all to go along with it a lot more.

The overnight was affected, but not by too much -

HYPNOTIC

While I love watching Vito do his thing, that was an example of a routine in which it would have benefited his partner if he did a little less.

Well, Bobby's first round was stronger (one bonus point for that drag after the event), while you suspect that the others saved their better routines.

If the British public put Layton and Nikita in the dance off again after these two excellent weeks I'll be (a) livid, but (b) delighted to see that Charleston again

Johannes :(

And bless Carlos blubbing behind them :D

I think the judges could have afforded to be a little more generous with Annabel there, being seen as stingy will only drive her vote.
