Strictly 2023 (1 Viewer)

Worthy winners. And even by Strictly's VERY HIGH STANDARDS, that was a fucking amazing series

Managed to scroll down without seeing - phew!

Poor Ellie after show fumble dance, but she's certainly bringing the bangers.

Anton is oooh insufferable ooof. Someone throw a sequined shoe at him please.

I really hope Claudia headed out to a club after taping.

Not surprised it's down really. Covid helped buoy 2020 and 2021. It's all very tired and the couples choice dances just arent strictly for me. They also really ought to ditch the dance off from the QF onwards as too often the judges shoehorn their favourites into the final after multiple dance offs. It would be much more exciting if all finalists actually had a chance of winning.

The final ended up with a consolidated 10.61m and a 55.2% audience share. I expect the this year will end up with a very similar amount.

I wonder if this will make all the headlines like IACGMOOH. :eyes:
The drop is considerably less severe than IACGMOOH. I think that was down around 2.5m again on the overnights for the final, pretty consistent for the series as a whole.

I suspect the Strictly drop won't be seen as significant enough for the usual suspects to use as a reason to attack the BBC.

The overnights mean little for both though, so I'll await the consolidated figures.

I would have thought the gutter press would be more in the BBC’s pocket than ITV’s.

I'm not disagreeing. I'm just saying try telling the Tories (who have effectively held the future of the BBC in their hands for the last 13 years) that. And then decide why the BBC may perhaps try to appease them.

The Christmas special was actually rather good this year. Dan Snow was dad dancing and Keisha looked quite terrified but the other four were worthy of a look for the main series at some point in the future. Jay from Eastenders and Sally Nugent were especially good I thought (and apparently no dance experience for the latter).

Shirl Ballas seemed a little merry but still showed off some nifty moves in the group dance.

Front cover of The Sun today as well. Apparently Ranvir complained, and three more 'unhappy'. I think Richie Anderson is one of them.

Debbie McGee standing by him, though
