The Scissor Sisters are back back back (Reunion Tour 2025)

I think they're really overestimated the appetite for them with these tour dates. Doing Mighty Hoopla and some prides first might WET some appetites.

Bit worried about them doing the O2. They're an Empire/Apollo/Roundhouse type band for me - they might well fill the O2, but I'm not sure if I want to see them there.

I imagine Ana's reconciled with Jake but just can't stand the thought of touring with him again either way! Jake's been pretty open about the fact he turns into a little Napoleon dickhead on tour every time and that nothing is likely to change that.

1. Take Your Mama
2. It Can't Come Quickly Enough (:()
3. Might Tell You Tonight (underrated)
4. I Don't Feel Like Dancin' (not a hit here, so not overplayed)
5. Something Like This
6. Only The Horses
7. Whole New Way
8. Skin Tight
9. Comfortably Numb
10. Laura

Hard though because the debut and Night Work are so strong (and Ta Dah and Magic Hour have a couple of songs I like each as well)

Am I alone in thinking an arena tour might be a *tad* ambitious for them at this stage? They’ve been dormant for a long time…
Cardiff and Bournemouth apparently sold out. I'm guessing they are two of the smallest (if not the smallest) venues they are playing, though.

“Oh, yes!” Matronic says today of whether she’d ever rejoin the band, which went on hiatus after their fourth album, 2012’s Magic Hour. “Never say never. I’ve learned you can never fully ever close the door and nor should you. But at this point, I’ve been out of the band longer than I was in the band, and so my work has taken on a different medium.”

She pensively clutches her chin. “The thread that links it all is storytelling, and I was the storyteller of Scissor Sisters and the emotional engine, I suppose.”

Rather than attempting a direct Ana replacement they have gone with a different configuration which seems wise:
