I read some extraordinary stories about ‘birth tourism’ where thousands of pregnant Russian women have been going abroad to give birth - not because the services are better but because they want their children to have a different citizenship. That’s a major shift from this proposed Russian public support that the Putin regime spouts about and another cause-and-effect from the conscription efforts last year. Putin’s decision to force everyone into the army could actually be the long term key factor into his legacy and the eventual outcome for Ukraine.

Yes, I read the other day that Argentina have recieved hundreds of pregnant Russian women lately…

But he’s not mobilising enough troops and so far it’s mostly the ethnic minorities that are forced to send their sons to die… ie the Russian heartland is still not suffering enough and they won’t do anything about it anyway.

This may well develop, which history tells me it has every possibility of doing so. Prophecies of war, dont become war until there's actual war - which there is + conversations about western military growth is everywhere,

Who India decides to back is crucial. Tensions with China tell me they'll probably back the west. If not, the sheer potential of troop numbers are terrifying. Any conflict would probably be focussed in Asia, but would regardless be devastating for the whole world. Of course the Ukrainian front could bring the whole thing further into Eastern Europe.
 
Biden will splutter over a load of rhetoric. Putin will display dangerous levels of delusion and likely threaten everyone he possibly can.

Called it. Eastenders is more exciting at the moment.
 
I almost wish he’d declare war on everyone, to hurry up his own demise.

Maybe I shouldn’t have made that joke because now he’s insinuating that they’d increase their nuclear weapons or something?

I think it’s just empty threats to scare off Europe from sending heavier weapons to Ukraine.

When will someone state the very obvious here; that aside from their own interests, Turkey and Hungary are clearly unrealiable NATO members who are acting in favour of Russia.

Erdogan also specifically thanked Finland for the help they provided Turkey after the earthquake and nothing about Sweden and all the millions that we sent them.

This is just evil bargaining from Erdogan. 😣 Hungary I don’t understand at all — have they actually made any demands or just delayed for nothing?
