UK Strikes 2022-2023

Not sure this quite fits here, but given the Royal Mail connection…

Have we noticed that Royal Mail has stopped taking or sending any international mail due to a “cyber incident”? It’s been about a week I think and it’s fucking my vinyl business up.

We really have made ourselves a third world country, haven’t we? :D

Its hard enough shipping stuff abroad!

We've had the exact same thing last year in our post office, refusing to take and send any international mail cause of a cyber incident, it took almost a month to sort it out and they never gave a clear explanation about what exactly happened.

Good tool for checking how much your local school will lose:

Mine is losing £300 per pupil :)

I read that as per pencil. And then I wondered WHICH PENCILS? There are barely any.

The school I'm at mostly, isn't especially terrible, but is lucky enough have two specialist councillors on the staff. I just know they'll be first to go when the £130k cuts are put in place, which is a tragedy.

£280 for us, and I really have no idea what we have left to cut :bruised: we don't even have a full-time person in the office anymore, the head does it two days a week!

It's time for teachers to get creative. This is a business. Make parents' evening into a ticketed meet and greet, offer the playground off to property developers, sell some kids, idk.
