What is your favourite Christmas song?

Lonely This Christmas was meant to be an Elvis parody. After Wizzard had a hit with a Christmas themed Phil Spector spoof, Mud decided to follow in their footsteps. With Les Grey having a decent Elvis impression in his armoury, the song was quickly rustled up and recorded. Unlike Wizzard, Mud actually scored a Christmas Number 1.

I think I discovered Lonely This Christmas through this song 'I've Lost My Smile' by Carrie and David Grant, which sort of parodied that :D
With Les Grey having a decent Elvis impression
(I also thought it was by Elvis Presley at some point; it was a good vocal impression!)

A song that I remember listening to on a Christmas CD when I was younger was Santa Baby sung by Eartha Kitt, the original :)
(It has a cartoon video too ๐Ÿค—)

I forgot to mention Johnny Mathis. 'When a child is born is probably one of the best songs of the entire 70s. Criminally you don't hear it as much anymore.

Yesterday I discovered that Laura Branigan did a few Christmas songs, and a medley ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽ„

This telephone message ๐Ÿ˜Š

This last one is the medley ๐ŸŽ„

Her clever inclusion of Gloria  in excelsis deo reminded me of another Christmas carol I used to sing! (Angels We Have Heard On High) ๐Ÿ˜‡

Here's a playlist of a few ๐Ÿ˜Š

The Queen one I forgot to mention earlier: Thank God It's Christmas ๐ŸŒƒ๐ŸŒŸ
