Carrie Underwood EVIL

Unbreakable Heart for the lead single please.

Also, having seen tcamen's signature, he needs to post more. AM I RIGHT SDF?

OH YES. I've never noticed it before, but any fan of LeAnn's is a friend of mine. I was listening to 'Family' the other day, and it really is a LOVELY album, one of the best country albums of the last couple of years. Speaking of LeAnn, she can't be too far off from releasing a new album either.

I kind of hoped Carrie would hold off until 2010 for her new album, and take the time to produce a more solid album, because in the current climate I don't really see it being the big seller it SHOULD be. In hindsight, 'Carnival Ride' wasn't nearly as good as 'Some Hearts' either, with the exceptions being "So Small", "Just A Dream" and "I Know You Won't", which are all 13/10 moments.

Spot-on with your picks from Carnival Ride there - there are far too many duds on that album whereas Some Hearts has LITERALLY NONE

YOU'RE WELCOME

it was the least I could do for your gracious behaviour in the face of such adversity (ie your ridiculous love of Mariah's new shitfest)

xoxox

I love Carrie when she's doing angry (Before He Cheats) or big emotional sad ballads (I Know You Won't, Just A Dream). EVERYTHING else in between is a bit SHIT.

Thanks for changing the thread title funky (just retrospectively making that post of your look less schizo)

My fave track will always be "I Ain't In Checotah Anymore"

YES. :disco:

Some Hearts Rank:

1. I Ain't In Checotah Anymore
2. Don't Forget To Remember Me
3. Jesus, Take The Wheel
4. Whenever You Remember
5. Starts With Goodbye
6. Some Hearts
7. I Just Can't Live A Lie
8. Before He Cheats
9. The Night Before (Life Goes On)
10.That's Where It Is
11. Lessons Learned
12. Inside Your Heaven
13. We're Young And Beautiful
14. Wasted

New album 'Play On' released November 3rd :disco:

According to Sony Music Nashville, so far for the album Carrie has worked with long time collaborator Mark Bright, who produced her first two albums. She's also been writing with Ne-Yo, Jim Jonsin, Johnta Austin, Kara DioGuardi, Max Martin, and Darrell Scott (who has written for the Dixie Chicks and Faith Hill). Also Mark Bright will produce the entire record, and Max Martin should be the only other producer having done one track for the singer.

I was listening to Taylor Swift this morning and it made me realize just how decent Carrie Underwood really is, I won't buy her album or anything, but I like her.

Top 3:

1. Before He Cheats
2. Praying for Time (live)
3. Last Name

And I love "Some Hearts" too, and I know more than this but I forget the names.

She is absolutely STUNNING

I WOULD GIVE HER ONE ( :eyes: )

Can't wait for the album - excited that she seems to be going a bit more mainstream (rather than wildly alternative as she has been up to now obv)

First single to be called "Cowboy Casanova", and is apparently co-written by Carrie.

HELL FUCKING YEAH

ANYWAY I like Cowboy Casanova but I don't love it. I don't really LOVE any of her angry songs (well I do quite love BHC but whatever).

Here is the order of Carrie song genres that I like

1 Inspirational/Vaguely Religious Songs with HUGE VOX
2 Songs about other people's lives with HUGE VOX
3 Quirky songs about her life/dog with HUGE VOX
4 Angry songs with HUGE VOX
5 Any songs without HUGE VOX

I trust I haven't left anything out :disco:

OH, I'm with Dub on this one. I LIKE IT LOTS and I think it will be massive, it's much better than "Last Name" and her voice sounds brilliant but secretly I was wanting something that would inspire me to get out of bed in the morning/not look down on the homeless/be more compassionate towards retired folks, instead of overtaking them abruptly on the escalator. On offer is a girl kicking man-slut anthem, which still helps, so thanks anyway Carrie. Love you more than my not quite so pretty friends. xxx

:D

I've listened to this a few times - just finished listening in fact - and am unable to hum the chorus. The response elsewhere (twitter and Popjustice if you must know) is very positive though so THAT'S GOOD

Something about there being two different versions as well, a country and non-country one or SOMETHING.

Okay, it's now the BEST THING EVER. I think the remix thing is a rumour, 'cause I'm sure Carrie stated she was against the idea of remixing her tracks to fit in to a specific market. Although it worked for Shania and Taylor Swift.

Cowboy Casanova is at least half as good as Before He Cheats and that's good enough for ME.

With the title "Cowboy Casanova" I was hoping for a half-country/half-generic dance hybrid, though this is good too. It should be massive, although she seems to be more of an albums act.

It's about time the NUMBER ONE (country) DIVA in the game came back and show that twink in drag called Taylor Swift how it's done.

Anyone who pisses off Faith Hill is an icon

A video for those of you who still care (WARNING: takes you to Perezhilton.com)

I am finding it hard to. Bring on the album and the ballads thanks.

Perhaps inadvertently :D

Although "Unapologize" strikes me as having a bit of an under-educated hick vibe, no?

Yeah though, anything that sounds like it might be a ballad with HUGE VOX

They're releasing a song from the album each week to iTunes in the run-up to the release or something

Here is Mama's Song which unfortunately falls more into the (half of) Carnival Ride category of "oh that's quite nice" than Some Hearts' wall-to-wall ultimate amazing screech-alongs.

OH "Mama's Song" is a lovely little gem of a song.

A new song was revealed - "Temporary Home" and it's beyond wonderful.

I'm totally sold on this project now (not that I needed much persuasion to begin with).

"Temporary Home" is such a stunning track.
