Aren't China just calculating the death rate as ~3% of the total reported figure for infections? Suggesting the true death rate is actually significantly higher?

Well it works both ways, a lot of people will be infected but not really suffering severe symptoms and not seeking treatment and not dying. It takes a while for the data to settle down I suppose too
 
I thought it was more that way, its around 2-3% of recorded infections, those who don't present at medical centres because they don't feel ill enough or out of fear don't get recorded, so the mortality rate is actually way lower.

Coupled with the infection rate apparently flattening out, I predict this being OLD NEWS by March
 
So it's been rebranded Covid-19. I think this will appeal to the youth demographic.
 
Probably means the mid '30s wing of The Gammon Army can start drinking their shitty lager again without getting confused.

TBH I’d rather die of this than have to live in NATIONALIST BRITAIN. Queen Olga is probably doing us all a favour
 
I got back exhausted from a weekend in Berlin only to be told an hour later that work is cancelled for at least a week due to Coronavirus. Flying home on Tuesday after scrambling together decent connections that don't cost a brick, but worried that they'll close transport from Milan now. Bleugh.

Should have just hid in my Berlin hostel for another week.

Ha. I'm not as worried about the virus so much as I am about being stranded here for a week as everything closes and all my friends either go elsewhere or just cancel their return flights.

Hope you don't die Diddy. x
