PLANT-BASED FRIDAY

Is there a problem with mobile phone signals today? I can only get 3G.

I know the future has been SHIT but the fact that you can now get a plant based chicken royale at Burger King almost makes up for it.

Is it any good? I love the nuggets though they can be a bit DRY. Presumably just the same shit?

Their plant based whopper is amazing but I wish they’d let you pop real cheese on it.

I had plant based chicken nuggets in IKEA too. The ‘meat’ was just fine but the coating was shit

I accidentally put my new (expensive) Nike tennis shorts in the tumble dryer and now they’ve come out resembling something to rival Kylie’s hot pants in Spinning Around. I can still get them on but they’re way too small

I honestly can’t tell the difference from the real thing!

Jump into a hot shower with them and stretch them back to the size you want.

The plant based whopper at Burger King shits all over the McPlant at McDonalds, but then again the latter is fully vegan and the BK one is definitely not. :hostage:

Morning all. last day in this 'team', moving on to one that pays a smidge more cash come Monday. Given that I've been sitting on a different floor of the building from them for a couple of months and no-one gave a shit, I can't say I'm bovved. Onwards!

Isn't that only cause it's cooked on the same plate as the beefburgers, though? (Which, doesn't bother me).

I haven't tried a McPlant yet but then I've never been a McDonalds fan anyway...

Yeah. It also uses cheese and mayo where the McPlant uses fake stuff.

I'm not even sure the BK one is marketed as veggie, just an "alternative" which fair enough.

No, it doesn't. There's definitely no cheese in it.

Indeed, just looked it up-

It's also vegan mayo. Entirely plant based except the dodgy cooking area!

Oh! Maybe it's changed from when I had it then (which was pre-covid). It was called the Rebel Whopper then.

Anyway, the important thing is I skipped breakfast and now I'm dying for a Burger King.

I don't LOVE Burger King (I'm not a fan of chain burger restaurants at the best of times), but it totally feeds into my FOMO/MUST TRY EVERYTHING mental health issues that mean when I go, I overorder ridiculously because they do really good sides. Last time, I ordered the Plant Whopper, with onion rings as the side in a meal, chilli cheese bites (essential) and vegan nuggets.

Then ate half and threw the rest away :D :(

I don't even know where the nearest Burger King is to me any more...

OMG I do this. Let's get married and grow obese together.

I like the idea of a THROUPLE in a few ways, but then I imagine there would be a lot of arguments over the laundry.

I've just registered my company for VAT.

I don't know why, but it's made me TERRIBLY anxious :D

Yeah this irks me a bit, I like meat alternatives but I'm not ready for vegan cheese, it seems a lot of places are all or nothing.

Vegan cheese is a hate crime. Aside from soft cheese alternatives, some of which are decent I have found one reasonably priced vegan cheese and it melted like plastic.

Drives me insane. Vegan cheese is generally awful. So much “computer says no” bullshit going on.

Is that the smoked applewood? Which is the only acceptable one.
