Queen Elizabeth II DEAD

Someone woke her up in the morning, chose what she was wearing, dressed her, made her breakfast for her then brought it to her. She was then walked to one of her many of fleet of cars with umpteen people protecting her then she was driven to the destination to cut a cake and chat for 20 seconds to the staff at the place she was going to. Smiled, waved, and then was brought back to whatever palace of choice she chooses to then not lift a finger for the rest of the day. Why she wanted to carry on “working” so hard until the day she died is anyones guess.

Semantics about what is work aside (almost impossible to compare), she never complained and did shit I hope I'm not obliged to do right now, well into her early 90s.

It was the only life she knew. She probably knew very little of how easy she had it. And she absolutely did have it a lot easier in ways we can only dream of. That said we have very simple freedoms that she's never had, that we didn't enjoy losing when lockdown happened.
 
I bet they even wheeled out one of her LOOKALIKES for one of those instances where she was just DRIVEN BY in a BULLET-PROOF CAR for ten seconds in BARROW-UPON-LEIGH or something too!

Give it to National Trust or something and let us all have a POKE AROUND (I mean you probably already can to a degree, but OPEN IT ALL UP please)
 
I wouldn't have described the Queen's average schedule as 'work' but I also wouldn't want to do it. Constantly flung around the country from Inverary to Scunthorpe to Tring to allsorts and having to look happy to be there all the time. Sounds dreadful. No time of your own, never meeting anyone in a natural environment...no wonder she enjoyed a 10 minute chat (and possibly even a shag) with Michael Fagan, it must have been a refreshing change!

I agree- I wouldn't want to do it in a million years, but that's not the point here. I still refuse to believe you "have to"- her Uncle certainly didn't and still lived quite a happy life PONCING AROUND FRANCE and fraternising with the Nazis, basically at taxpayer's expense...

Those figures are still rather GLORIOUS. Not sure the last time tv ratings figures got so high? Possibly England making the final of that football tournament not so long ago.
 
Could the world please shut the fuck up about Holly & Phil? There are surely better things to be angry about?

They were filming footage for their show. And what? So next time they’re doing a special on a movie premier are they supposed to rock up to the Odeon and buy an ticket and hope to catch a selfie with Tom Cruise as he jumps into a car?

The last week has proven this country has no sense of perspective over anything.

I love how Holly and Phil had to break their silence with 'please know that we would NEVER jump a queue', like it's the worst thing anyone could possibly be accused of. Insane.
