Good year! Only Germany letting the side down again :eyes:

Personal ranking

5. Spain

Prediction

2-5: France
2-5: Italy
8-12: United Kingdom

I do hope I'm wrong and the gays come through on televote for the Spanish SLUTS though.

Personal ranking
1. Italy
2. United Kingdom
3. Spain
4. France
5. Germany

Prediction
1-5: France (I know we’ve got Belgium but the further we go on without another big ballad in the mix I feel this could come through).
1-5: Italy
5-15: United Kingdom (Very dependant on staging and LIVE VOX)
8-20: Spain
20-26: Germany

Remember when we were all consistently just a bit of an embarrassment with the exception of maybe Germany for a few years? How the TABLES TURN :disco:

Are people genuinely thinking that French dirge might end up in the TOP FIVE? With so many actual good songs competing against it?
I'd say it feels close to being almost locked in for top 5 at this point. Given how noisy the year is overall it's the big dark horse candidate for the win in my view right now (but probably in practice more likely a jury win-driven 2nd/3rd)

Won't anyone stop to consider that it's shit before they lavish points upon it? What's wrong with people?

1. UK
2. Italy
3. Spain
4. France
5. Germany

UK, Italy and France all look set fair for top ten finishes overall.

01. Italy
02. Spain
03. UK (Likely to move up with more plays)
04. France
05. Germany

The only one I actively dislike is Germany otherwise a fantastic year for the big 5!

Very strong year over all

1. UK
2. Spain
3. Italy
4. France
5. Germany

How I think they will do.

1. France(potential jury winer - top 3 overall).
2. Italy(top 10)
3. UK(right now gut is saying anything from 15-22nd)
4. Spain(20-25 - sorry this is tanking)
5. Germany(20-25)

Would be quite hilarious but also quite sad to see both the UK and Spain just two years after Sam and Chanel back to square one if they both tank in Malmo :D /:(

1 Italy (top 5)
2 Spain (bottom 5)
3 United Kingdom (anywhere between 16th and last)
4 France (top 5)
5 Germany (bottom 5)

1. Italy
2. Spain
3. France
4. UK
5. Germany

Keeping an open mind that UK might TANTALISE me a bit more than it is currently.

Germany coming bottom but I really don't think it's terrible. There's worse this year. I hope it at least receives some crumbs and can claw out of the bottom 5.

I genuinely don’t get why people would assume the UK will rank when the song and the performer are both among the strongest of the year.
As I said before I really like it I just think it might(I stress MIGHT) get totally lost.

Because it’s not just all about how good a song is. It’s about how memorable it is too, and how it encourages people to vote for it.
I just don’t think that when you line it up against many of the other entries this year, Olly will stand out.

We’ve not seen the staging yet, we know less about the song overall than most of the rest of the field. Even so, I don’t agree that it fades to the background - it’s easily the strongest big 5 song and it’s completely separate to the Cha Cha Cha clones. I don’t think for one second it will win but I can easily see a route to the top ten. We’ve got a seasoned performer and a lot invested in this being a success.

Spain have gone from having the worst entry to one of the best. Them and ourselves are comfortably ahead of the rest for me, so I hope the results are more 2022 than 2023

1. Spain
2. UK
-
3. Germany
4. France
5. Italy

Yeah, I think I'm more inclined to go and listen to Germany out of the bottom three. France and Italy both do what they do well, but I don't know if they're really for me, and another Italian win would be really boring considering what's on offer this year.

1. Italy
2. Spain
3. United Kingdom

4. Germany

5. France

3-5 Italy
13-16 France (and this is because so many seem to love it. I just don’t get it)
18-22 United Kingdom
21-24 Germany
23-26 Spain

I love Spain, but anyone that thinks its making it onto the left hand side needs to have a serious word

Personal ranking

1. Spain
2. United Kingdom
3. Italy
4. France
5. Germany

Prediction

2-5: Italy
2-5: France
8-12: United Kingdom
12-20: Spain
Last: Germany (Zero points)

Germany will probably do OK with the juries, but it screams televote zero or close to it.

'Listenable and well performed' doesn't = 'People running to the phones for it' though. I can't imagine it being anybody's standout on the night.

No I absolutely agree, but I can see it having more appeal - especially to the juries - than we're probably giving it credit for.

01 Italy (prediction: ~5th)
02 Spain (prediction: ~21st)
03 United Kingdom (prediction: ~13th)
04 France (prediction: ~4th)
05 Germany (prediction: ~24th)

I think all bar Germany are in my top half of the entries revealed so far though. And Germany isn’t even bad, just a tad forgettable.
