Liam Payne DEAD

Ngl he’s been torn to shreds online for the past week since the Niall concert. There is also this book by the ex which is ‘fiction’ but basically humiliates him and long alleged drug abuse. It’s not a stretch to think he’s spiralled into this outcome
 
Reports saying that he was wasted and smashing shit up in the hotel in the hours before.

If this is bollocks, apologies.
 
Argentinian police saying he fell just as police turned up, after reports of an individual acting aggressively.

What a horribly messy demise.
 
This exact thing happened to some blogger I used to follow a few years ago. Just in a drunken state and accidental fall :(
 
That’s the most shocking death I’ve seen in a while. And the story just sounds tragic :(
 
Only an hour before this was announced, the YouTube algorithm coerced me into watching a "Liam Payne ultimate cringe" video, and I'm now sure that YouTube is evil and I'm going to hell

Incredibly grim. And no doubt there'll be lots of unpleasant speculation in weeks to come.
 
He came across dreadfully in recent years, and often clearly drug-addled, which only makes this sadder if he wasn't getting enough support with that.

You've got to wonder what it's like to become so mind-blowingly famous at such a young age. And then what happens when the thing that made you famous, and the success, pretty much just vanishes in your 20s. Most brains aren't cut out to deal with that
 
Not sure if it was necessarily an accident. He really didn't seem too well lately - he seemed to be struggling a fair bit with being the only one who didn't really have their own thing going on past the band. He was basically coked to the nines in every single red carpet photo he was in for the last five years.

The last Snapchat video is quite haunting. The controlling scold about the hat on the table, and the sheer emptiness in his eyes for a split-second after his girlfriend says "we're losers".
 
Oh gosh, according to the Guardian the reason he was in Argentina at all was to attend Niall’s concert there.

Not that he ever could have known of course, but that’s got to be heavy on poor Niall if true.

What a ridiculous way to look at it! It could have been a hotel anywhere. It’s not like Argentina was the only place he could find drink and drugs!

wow, this was a real jaw dropper to wake up to.

I think the saddest part is that something about this trajectory felt kind of inevitable for him. fame had chewed him up and spit him out. difficult enough at the best of times to be on top of the world and then to be a "flop" with no relevance in the musical landscape anymore. but in the social media era, with tiktokers directing hate at you daily because you attended your ex bandmate's concert, and with a serious ongoing drug problem and seemingly no healthy support network around you...

thinking of his poor child. RIP.
 
Notable, thanks to the speed of the Argentinan media in sharing the pictures of makeshift drug paraphernalia, is the sharp contrast between social media and reality. The wholesome Snapchat pics suggest he was off out to play polo and plan Halloween outfits. The reality was desperate and sordid.

He was such a pretty young thing, with the world at his feet, and ended up angry and frazzled.

It's all very sad.
 
I never realised he had a child with Cheryl Cole. That makes it even sadder.
 
So, he was smashing the place up, someone called the fuzz, he reckoned he could escape by jumping off the balcony but completely misjudged it because he was wasted. What a stupid, stupid way to die.
 
The conspiracy theories on Tiktok are ridiculous 🤦🏻‍♀️ apparently it "doesn't add up" that he fell from a 3rd floor balcony and died.
He should have been put into a coma and then he'd have survived.
 
A third floor is more than high enough to make a fall fatal. Why are you bothering with trashy TikTok?

Please ask these tiktokers to prove their theory by jumping off a 3rd floor balcony and surviving.

I know, and I’m not at all saying Niall shoulders any blame whatsoever, but if a friend of yours died due to a tragic accident, and you were an unwitting part of the chain of events that led up to that accident, I’m sure you’d feel some kind of way about it, rationally or otherwise.

I’d compare it to if somebody came to your stag weekend and died in a stupid and preventable accident after a night on the lash. Even if they were known to have substance abuse issues, you’d still probably carry a bit of guilt about it.

Forgive my ignorance, I really know nothing about 1D. Why are people angry with Simon Cowell?

Someone above said that he's the only member of 1D who hasn't had his own thing? Is there a reason why?

Why has he got so much hate over the years? Answers appreciated.
 
Amazed that photos from the hotel room and the 911 call have already been released.

Confident we'd be waiting years for such detail in the UK. I think it's a good thing, in that real information helps to quell online conspiracy.
