EastEnders 2025

Or those who only watch at Christmas as it was an “event episode”. It just seems low to me and not much differentiating the 3 soaps when it is Eastenders big week.
 
EastEnders certainly used to get more on catch up than the others - but I think that was largely due to ITV player (or whatever it was before it was ITV X) was absolutely horrible to use.
 
You still have to watch ads on ITVx unless you pay premium. I presumed Corrie fans would use digital recorders to FF through.
 
That must have been what the person was basing it on, but hopefully it will pick up a lot more casual viewers on catch up. It really has been very good and deserves it over the other 2.
 
I actually watched this last night to see that dude getting squidged by a bath. Quite good fun.

Mind you, I’m also keeping up with the Emmerdale limo disaster stuff this week so I’ve no special interest in the anniversary, I just love a good soap disaster.

Corrie and Emmerdale have both still both been available to view first thing in the morning where Eastenders hasn’t this week too. Will those who watched in the morning be included in the overnights @lolly? 🤔
 
Has Eastenders stopped releasing the episode early to try and capitalise on live viewers this week? Obviously tonight’s episode is LIVE but it’s not really done much looking at those overnight figures.
 
I didn’t know that Reiss told Sonia that Debbie had a stroke in the bath for him then to get killed by a falling bath.

What a stroke of GENIUS!!

It's surely to keep the surprises actually as surprises. The Angie thing would have been all over social media if it had been on in the morning and ruined everything.

It would have ruined the element of surprise for sure, but my point was them not releasing the episode live didn’t pick up many extra viewers compared to the other 2.

I love that, like with The Six flash forward, they've not risked writing Jessie Wallace in to this just in case she got herself suspended between last night's episode recording two months ago and this live ep going out :disco:
