Melodifestivalen 2025: Deltävling Four (Malmö)

Meanwhile Malou will be at home, doing her nails and not booking her Megabus to Andra Chansen

I’m going to stray from the pack and say that I think ‘Revolution’ is better than ‘Heroes’, although it does feel very much of its time.

Melfest winner? Most likely. Eurovision winner? With an almost guaranteed hefty jury score, quite possibly. He’d only need a Nemo-style televote.

I don't know that the jury score will be "hefty" though.

Heroes was massively elevated by having one of the most memorable stagings of all time, especially at a time when a lot weren't going for grand staging. I think, in a different era, where everyone has raised their game on the staging front, Mans doesn't stand out quite as much. And he's not a Loreen or a Nemo in terms of being distinctly stand out in quality. In my opinion anyway. He may well win the jury vote but I don't see the landslide element, I could see it doing an ~Arcade at best (which came 2nd with the juries, I think).

Heroes didn’t win the jury vote and I can’t see this outperforming it on that front.

Italy won the televote by a slightly more modest 80 point landslide - and surprisingly enough only came 6th on the juries!

Televote
366 Italy
286 Russia
279 Sweden

Jury
363
Sweden
247 Russia
184 Italy

Combined
365
Sweden
303 Russia
292 Italy

Mans, this is not it.

But I also did not have high hopes, admittedly.

I thought he might be tempted to go a bit REAL MUSIC, so I guess regurgitated and ten years out of date is a minor mercy.

As for these inspirational numbers about nothing, give me a silly love song any day.

Someone needs a refund, this really is Maps 2.0.

I know this is an early rehearsal - and allegedly it’s been pulled together to become something amazing - but the whole thing in general just gives me the giggles at how naff it all is. Repeatedly singing REVOLUTION! whilst trapped in a giant paper vagina, I mean we’ve all been there

Are we absolutely sure this is nailed on to win? I mean look what happened with Danny when he fumbled the ball last year - and he may not be a Eurovision winner but as far as I can tell he's had much more local success outside the Melfest arena than Måns...

I absolutely would not be surprised by KAJ winning the first round of voting - combination of it being very good + strong localised voting + coming after two gentler songs + Swedes needing Måns to really sing for his votes

Oh I think there'll be enough TAPPY TAPPY TAPPY (thanks @Pingu ) for him to sail though on Saturday. I just wonder if come the final something else might shine a bit brighter.

I mean is he not embarrassed to be reheating his own nachos to this extent? :manson:

Quite charming and lovely here though :shy:

Is it confirmed to be Heroes/Maps man who's doing the staging?

As long as KAJ goes direkt this week will be somewhat redeemed.

I’m sorry but I quite like this and think he looks far more professional than anyone else :disco:

But yes, no pushing the boat out whatsoever, and I’d still rather Klara even if it seems the poor girl cannot actually sing (good enough) :(

I am starting to believe Sweden could do it... I believe Vicious can win the Eurovision Song Contest :disco:
