I feel Austria can attract more jury points than Sweden. While it’s the other way around with the public. But I’m giving Austria the edge.

I’d still say Austria are the front runners at the minute but I see a path to victory for:

Belgium
Finland
France
Israel
Netherlands
Sweden

Austria vs Sweden I think. Unsatisfying jury landslide for the former + 100-200 points from the public, vs public delight at the latter.

But I think it's probably going to be quite a close year with a fair few entries over 200 points, and a sub 500 point victor all in all. Which does open the door to Israel...

Personally I think it’s Sweden vs Finland with a very outside chance of Albania.

Finland really need a much bigger performance. Much as the current one really does channel 'you WILL vote for this!', it does so in the way that usually ends in not enough people actually voting for this :(

Oh I’d LOVE a shock Albanian win. Come to think of it I do wonder how fancied Karnaval would have been by now..

Think: Sweden

Want: Malta (but would be delighted with Austria too, think that's 3rd for me now)

It’s very obviously not Austria, I’ve lived through France 2011 and Estonia 2016 :D it is the most open year in ages though

I can't imagine anything this year winning.

Don't get the hype around Austria.

Those suggesting Albania, please share whatever hard drugs you're using.

This will be a consensus winner between jury and public with a favourable draw (Azerbaijan 2011 style).

Nothing is giving me “obvious home run” with both voting groups at this moment.

Are there any HOT TRENDS being tapped into on a broader level by any of the entries? Amor pelos dois and La La Land come to mind, and @Tetris-Rock has noted that Running Scared did piggyback a fair bit on the Glee sound.

There seems to be a glut of heterosexual men who think we CARE about THEIR FEELINGS.

I think the bookies are pretty much on the money and it’s between Sweden, Austria and Israel.

Austria: potential runaway jury winner that the public could be lukewarm towards

Sweden: potential televote winner that isn’t traditional jury fodder but could cut through enough

Israel: another potential strong televote that is traditional jury fodder so it’s a question of whether they’ll be marking it down as much this year

Can’t really call it between those three at the moment.

I’d not want yet another Swedish Eurovision so soon, I really don’t care for the Austrian song and the other choice doesn’t really bear thinking about, so I’m all for “honourable mentions” awards for everyone and moving on to 2026.

I put Sweden but there is no precedent for a ‘well-produced, well sung Swedish/Finnish-language accordion, choreographed, fun entry’ with jurors. It could be another ‘Hey Mama’ who did reasonably well. They’ve also broken many streaming records.

I actually think Netherlands has a really good chance like Austria 2018 did which was a surprise jury winner.

Austria is a racket and I really don't see jurors liking the random electronic part.
