Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Switch)

Hot tip: give the villagers non-native fruit wrapped in gift wrapping paper as gifts. When they get to unwrap, it apparently boosts friendship points and since non-native fruits sell for 500, there's a minimum 50% chance they'll give you clothing or an item in return. Otherwise they give you 650 or 750 bells.

Is there any way to see what your friendship level is with them? So far I've only wrapped birthday presents.

Can people bury those in other people's islands? Because I did fall and now I know why :D

I just assumed that exclamation was another surprise box. I need to stop fishing and get back to crafting and designing.

I've already received photos from Flo, Pashmina, Hamlet and KING DRAGO :disco:

The others keep running up to me selling and gifting me stuff or trading me stuff for critters and items - much to the detriment of my cluttered living room. (I KNOW, I KNOW, @Diddy )

You know there’s a shopping catalog right? You don’t need to be a hoarder.

the pursuit of photos was my folly in New Leaf, never again! I wish Norma would leave, I should’ve let Eloise go. But I’ve grown accustomed to their faces :( (except Shari RIP)

Truffles tried to leave today, I was mortified

I do - but why sell for a 1/3 of the prize only to re-purchase at full value? :D

ELOISE is one of your villagers? She's fucking creepy and her design makes her look like she's in diapers all the time. Push her off the pier. :disco:

I think all mine have tried to leave.

I only have 2 pictures. I will try harder with them again now (ugh).

I have a new yellow dog. When I first saw IT walking down i thought Isabelle had had a stroke. I want them gone. Judy can also go, but I've unrealistically imposed a Eva Gabor persona onto her as she calls me darling.

I've just had an idea for the pictures: when they leave, make a graveyard and put their pictures in front of each tomb stone. I can't wait :D

The only way out of SorB’s island is in a body bag.

you should make a Zsa Zsa Gabor memorial cemetery! It’s a shame they don’t have creepy trees

Last night I demolished an annoying hill and built a secondary public square with a fountain, i hope the buggers appreciate it

I’ve moved my rather run-of-the-mill cafe back a bit and now I have a big square next to my plaza. I have no idea what to put in it, any ideas?

Well if it hasn't already occured to you Diddy, a Fulsom Gays Graveyward (RIP from pornhub-immortalized public flaccid sucking) of course.

WTF

I got rid of boring old Annalisa a while age, then this week Freckles finally left, and now Annalisa has MOVED BACK :D:argh:

Do they at least acknowledge the damage they have already done?

I've added an account to my Switch for the purpose of another storage unit. Not taking it more seriously than I should be at all.

After Apoca’s turnip windfall, I rolled the dice one more time and offloaded my nips at a nephew’s island for 1m. I realised I was still 300k short so I crafted about 50 water pumps as a hot item and cleared my last mortgage :disco:

just got to sort out my fucking flowers on the beach now

I feel my island is a bit boring :| but I don’t want it to be a dense city of time-travelled conceptual areas to invite friends to so they can clap and I can modestly radiate flowers at them

What’s everyone up to now?

With the mortgage out of the way I’ve been spending the money on reorganising the bridges. But I’m starting to think I might move some of the houses and even the plaza. I’m not particularly enamoured with the hedged communities I have now, it feels a bit claustrophobic

I decided to jump in and I’ve been playing for a week. I have peaches.
Who can I visit?

Has anyone got a spare purple wildflower they could, er, plant in my soil please? I did attempt to produce them again, but my flower fields quickly got over run again.

I've re-done my main housing district and am pretty pleased with it, but I'm in no hurry to figure out what to do with the flowers and a few mapped out patches. For example, I have an arcade area, but am waiting to have things before giving it a proper once over.

I also now have only 2 pictures to receive. It's a tad frustrating when an islander you're gifting, chatting, medicating and fetching for has that stomach curdle bubble and talk about leaving :D

We should arrange for people to host, I'm always wanting to have a nosey around people's islands.

I haven’t had any photos yet I mean I got close with some of them because I got some miles for it, but that’s all. It’s not like I’ve been trying that much though (or at all).

I got a new villager today but I thought she’d be a wolf and she’s another tiger. Hoooo *sighs*

I'd probably shit myself everytime I seen him, so robo croc Del wasn't interacted with more than once when he visited yesterday.

Do all the amiibo work as making them potential residents? I might see how much I can sell all of them in general as I certainly never used them and have no intention of getting more (I'm such a hoarder).

Animal Crossing amiibo? I have them all except the villager Smash ones. The only games I felt used them well were the original Mario Maker (not having the 8-bit skins, where I was expecting them to upgrade to 16-bit, really put a damper on the sequel for me) and to a lesser extent Yoshi's Woolly World.

I have an inkling all these figures would do is grant you a visit and not a proper residence.

Ohh I was thinking of the Amiibo cards for happy home maker. I have a handful of those.

it forces a visit to your campsite, which you have to do three times and finally they’ll join. But they shove out someone if you’re already full (I think you find out who it is first though)

Yeah, the standard visitors say who they'd be replacing. I think I've grown accustomed to who I've got, plus I've colour schemed and themed around most of their houses too, which is the main thing obviously.
