They probably couldn’t be arsed with the backlash from their Trumpish audience and distracting from the event, but they could have got away with giving her a few noms, particularly best song, or best collab with Dolly or Miley.
 
I checked out of curiosity and as I suspected fellow hip hop star Post Malone received nominations, but don’t worry he’s a white man so it’s fine, don’t panic :)

Relatedly, was your decision to move away from music videos a deliberate one? You pioneered and perfected the visual album to such an extent that it was striking to see Cowboy Carter and Renaissance released without any.​

I thought it was important that during a time where all we see is visuals, that the world can focus on the voice. The music is so rich in history and instrumentation. It takes months to digest, research, and understand. The music needed space to breathe on its own. Sometimes a visual can be a distraction from the quality of the voice and the music. The years of hard work and detail put into an album that takes over four years! The music is enough. The fans from all over the world became the visual. We all got the visual on tour. We then got more visuals from my film.​

the visuals distract from the quality of the voice? :D UGH! just say you hated what you shot and it'll never be seen beyond what you salvaged for the tour backdrops.
 
Just wait till you see the very CAUCASIAN cover. Some people are saying she looks like Trisha Paytas.

 
I can't hate too much because she made two truly great albums, but being a Beyoncé fan is not particularly pleasurable is it.

she trolls for years about visuals which will never be seen (so why tease them?). she drops an album full of hits and then pushes two singles only. she then follows it with another album full of hits and only ONE single. zero performances outside of tour (except for billionaire gigs). no music videos. literal radio silence. album left to die. unlikely to get the Grammy it deserves due to absolute lack of push. only ever spotted on a yacht or promoting fucking whiskey or olive oil. like...
 
I actually think she makes an interesting point. Selfishly I would have loved visuals for both albums but she is right about the distraction for artists that big. To be that successful without visuals is testament to the impact the albums have made.
