I love Kraftwerk. Well, the glory years, anyway. Autobahn, Trans Europa Express and Die Mensch Maschine are my favourites.

Thankfully, I inherited most of their albums on vinyl from a friend who does house clearances a few years back and he didn't want a penny for them, which was pleasing considering how much those original pressings go for

Infuriating bunch. New music? Nein! Reissues of the very early stuff that goes for an absolute bomb? Nein! Tours where four guys who could be anyone just stand there while you watch a film? Ja!

They're lucky their glory years were so bloody marvellous.

I absolutely understand their importance, particularly within the world of music I love. I don't especially get on with them however. That being said I think I've never given them a truly GOOD GO.

I will try to remedy this right now!

From Autobahn through Tour De France Soundtracks they never made an album that I'd personally rate lower than 4 stars out of 5, and that includes The Mix which I absolutely love

I got really sick on the date of their most recent Melbourne show but I dragged myself to it anyway (it's not like I'd be expected to do anything but sit there) and I'm so glad I did
