THIS. I don't have the app and rarely go on it, but I get no updates and then loads of RANDOM groups that don't EVEN seem to fit my algorithm and are way out of my interest zone. It's BIZARRE.

I’m into Reddit the most now too but I just use it via the browser and go direct to the subs I’m interested in rather than having a homepage algorithm suck me into all types things that generally make me upset/depressed.

Same for Instagram. I only use it via the browser so I don’t get sucked into doom scrolling Reels but the rest of it is perfectly serviceable for posts and stories.

Everything about Musk screams sociopath. He was always a sociopath and had too much power and influence, but now with Trump enabling him to new levels, he's completely out of control. He's so excited and enboldened by this new platform and presence he has and he has no idea how to wield it effectively. Something has to give, surely.

In the meantime, he's getting in all the news reports, taking up so much time on social media - he's a demigog. This is the world we live in now - the global icons are right wing, out of control sociopaths and we create them because we can't help but talk about them all the fucking time.

If the right are constantly praising him and the left are constantly mocking and criticising him - where or when is the off switch?
