Friday can cure your disease

MORNING!

I went to a Chiquito's last night, due to my niece's birthday choice.

At the risk of being RIDICULOUSLY SNOBBY, it's RARE that I go to a chain restaurant as I prefer to support independents, but I was genuinely astounded at just how AVERAGE everything was. It wasn't TERRIBLE, but it was just...THERE. I can't quite stop thinking about it and the acceptance of people for something so...well...BLAND.

Anyway, AS YOU WERE :D

I haven't been to Chiquito's (WHAT DO YOU THINK) in years and years but I do remember everything being VERY SALTY ...

I didn't realise Chiquito's was still going. I think I went to the Leicester Square one in 2001/2002 on a DATE, not my choice. We didn't have a second date.

Don't get me started on bad London dating venues from back in the day
There was that speed dating thing I went to once in a shopping centre though

One of my favourite cafes here has changed hands and is now called Caffè Moka.

It's such a shit name I can't bring myself to go in any more.

I remember it being the HEIGHT of sophistication when I was at Sixth Form College, alongside the likes of TGI Friday's, but can't think I've been to one since.

I mean it was ALRIGHT, but it was FAIRLY PRICEY alright and there's much better local options which are cheaper, better quality and bigger portions. I realise the ease of going to a chain on the hop, but we made a special trip to this place, rather than just happening to be in a shopping centre etc.

Genuinely thought they died years ago.

Genuinely thought they died years ago.

There's always been one here at Gunwharf, so I realised it hadn't, but it just never crosses my radar. I file it alongside the likes of Frankie & Benny's and yesterday's experience kind of confirmed that.

I did F&B for several years as it was the least worst option when taking children to the cinema.

Thank God they have grown older now and will at least manage Wagamama.

The last time we went to TGI, I walked out after looking at the prices.

In other news my antiviral meds have arrived. They arrive as one medication, but in seperate tablets. Also the colour choices - SLAVA UKRAINI!

I've got tickets to a show tomorrow, so I'm hoping they work at SPEED.

I wish Friday could cure my disease. I've got infected eczema all over my hands with smaller patches on other body parts. The palms of my hands look horrific, small pustules running along every crease and line including finger-joint creases and thumb webbing. The GP's given me antifungal, antibiotic and steroid cream but he says it could take weeks to get under control. In the meantime I look like I've got scabies or something and I'm having to wear Marigolds for washing up and cleaning because of the cream. :(
