Was expecting Joe to be excellent at hang tough. Will anyone (including the actual gladiators) ever be good at this again? Oh take it back, Jr was good.
 
Well, that was about the most SATISFYING episode I can remember
 
It was a great episode this week. Noted Cyclones absence. The new male gladiator is surely due to make an appearance soon, no?

It was the first to be filmed.

Not mentioned on screen but another piece of equipment on Gauntlet was broken (the new shield). When I was watching it live I was hoping they’d keep breaking stuff and be forced to retire the event.

Whilst I know both shows tanked without a trace with local audiences, it was notable that neither the French or Aussie revivals bothered with Gauntlet.
 
The men are fantastic this week. The 2nd hang tough looked incredible until the mistake. Watching on a slight delay, I've just finished the chase.
 
I wonder if Andy had a leg injury. He was fantastic except for the travelator so he'll definitely have to practice that. I had to stand up watching that :D
 
Viper really is quite shit, isn’t he? Even without the stupid character he plays. Cyclone’s similar schtick may be annoying too but at least she’s competent.
 
The gladiator who I always think looks like she works at Optical Express being nice to the contestant was like a breath of fresh air.
 
I really like how it's a mix of like 2-3 shit pantomime Gladiators, my darling Legend who does it well, and the rest who are basically just themselves and say things like "you were fantastic, fair play" to the contenders.

Viper being bottom of the first series ones is really poor isn't it? He was clearly meant to be creating a character in a way that I think only really Legend has successfully managed to do. Considering he's not that great at the events as well, the BBC ought to get rid.
 
Legend was on Richard Osman’s House of Games over Christmas, and he’s really quite lovely.

I presume Fire must have picked up a fair few more on her personal account after Strictly.

I was surprised at how low her total was, so checked her personal and it's 33.9k.

Legend has 1.1 million on his mattdoesfitness account :o
 
Viper basically only exists to give the shit contenders ten free points so that the eliminator isn’t too much of a walkover.
 
I really really liked Sabre in the first series, easily my top female Gladiator, but she's bloody annoying me this time round
 
My understanding, based on a two (2) heterosexual colleagues, is that Sabre is the one who's big with the dads
 
If I was straight and into cock and ball torture, I'd probably be into Sabre.
 
I’m still shook after Comet going up on Duel. Especially given we’ve yet to see her do Gauntlet or Powerball!
 
Yes me too and I was worried for her on duel! Was a bit like Jet doing duel, think she did it twice in her whole run.
 
But that’s what made it so more entertaining. There was peril that a Gladiator could lose rather than the foregone “how many seconds before the contender is knocked off”.
