Maybe not but they should recognise a bop when they hear one.
 
Je danse is miles better than Poupée. I can see them struggling in a televote only semi if they send it.
 
Je Danse does feel like the much more solid entry. I don’t know if they’re guaranteed a good result with any of them but Poupee is playing to a very specific crowd and no one else.
 
I think both would be fine choices, but Je Danse would probably get more jury points in the final, whereas I think Poupee would have a slight edge in probability of getting out of the televote-only semi.

But let's see what tonight brings.
 
There will be 3 or 4 entries that sound like Je Danse though. I can’t see any other countries going down La Poupee path.

I feel like Je danse sounds like the more obvious televote favourite? Whereas Poupée feels more likely to replicate their result last year of being a relative jury favourite, but also correspondingly possibly more likely to crash out in the semi.

I would have thought Je Danse to be the kind of straight down the line universal pop song that juries would rank highly if well performed. Televoting, yes sure but as has been pointed out, that depends on what else is going for its votes.

Poupee does have a lane all to itself but I can’t help but think it’s a pretty narrow lane.

All of these special effects are all good and well but they look shit when paired fairly sub par camerawork and direction.
