I loved Man About The House, and George and Mildred. He probably deserves his own thread really but I couldn’t see a BBC News article announcing his passing.

I was always surprised when he appeared in something or I read about him that he was still alive. Probably largely due to Yootha Joyce dying so young a long time ago.

I didn't know he was married to April from Hi-de-Hi.

In terms of Dad anthems hard to find a band that did them better. Some belting storytelling within some of their songs. Used to play Down In A Tube Station on repeat as a youngen.
I do like The Jam but I've never felt the need to explore them further beyond the singles collection.

:(

I didn't realise until I read this morning that she also had the first released version of Always On My Mind.

Princess Andrew's accuser Virginia Giuffre says she has max four days to live after being involved in a high-speed bus collision

“This year has been the worst start to a new year … I won’t bore anyone with the details, but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can,” she wrote in a post on social media on Sunday, along with a photograph of herself lying in a hospital bed with a head injury.
“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology,” she said. “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes."

the police have suggested her crash was minor and nobody involved in it was injured...

Oh I KNEW this was going to happen! It was such an obvious PUBLICITY GRAB :D
