I haven't bothered but I thought it was meant to be a 'best of' combining live and studio tracks? I'm pretty sure the 3-CD edition is both live and studio versions.
Just spotted this has now been added on spotify! Is there a reason that Point De Suture is not on Spotify..? Does Mylène HATE IT?
The only thing I can think of is Spotify DENYING the hideous cover art Shall we:
I've been waiting for them to do that but I got impatient after wine last night and I needed those two on vinyl.I want them too but I’ve got all the coloured vinyls so I kinda want them to release the rest so they match.
AMAZED at your number one. I like it, but it feels like it's a retread of old glories and quite gloomy in places. (AND THIS ISN'T MEANT TO SOUND SNIDE, I PROMISE) Were you a fan at the time? Because I wonder if it's because when you heard it you weren't judging by past glories.
I'm on Innamoramento at the moment but will be playing Bleu NOIR next.I've just popped it on for a QUICK SPIN
Oui MAIS NON was just SO GOOD. I mean yes it's an obvious Red One collaboration and encapsulated that SOUND at the time but BY GOD it worked...I've just popped it on for a QUICK SPIN

I just never got into Monkey Me. After Bleu Noir, it felt like SUCH a step backwards and almost as if it. I don't think I could hum you most of the songs on that album- I've probably only played it 4 or 5 times right through.
Interstellaires was great because it followed the Bleu Noir blueprint of being just a bit left field and, well, ODD. Desobeissance to a lesser extent.
Fucking hellMYLENE FORUM NOW!
I still haven't bitten for the rest of the vinyls because I'll want the coloured ones to complete the collection when they eventually appear. I keep debating, though- but Bleu Noir in particular is annoyingly spaced out, yes. I do have the Desobeissance vinyl and the later reissue CD with the extra tracks- and then sold the original for the same price as I paid for the reissue
Did you notice LA BANQUE DE MYLENE has just farted out 2CD reissues of all the albums? With the second disc just instrumentals
I quite liked Monkey Me at the time but it got old very quickly. I still quite like 'A L'ombre' as a single and I enjoy the video. Also like some of the deeper cuts like 'Ici Bas'. Interstellaires I would say is rather underrated by the FANZZZZ although I think Point de Suture is considered to be a masterpiece by some of them so ...
Lonely LISA is just SO GOOD. I like the bonkers video tooMe and a friend of mine still to this day have a thing where we just send each other the words "LONELY LISA" in the post/ via email/ on a text/ on a voice message etc. One day I'm going to put it on one of those flying aeroplane messages. Well, when they work out how to do it environmentally
The one thing I find rather PUZZLING about Bleu Noir is the album cover. It is certainly a 'choice'. To this day I don't know if I like it in some pretentious artsy fartsy way or if I absolutely HATE it!
Same. I'd pay good money for a proper comprehensive box probably. I've still got the Music Videos DVDs (I, II and III I believe?) but I never play them. When/if I get the MF video urge I just watch them on YouTube and cast them on the TV..There's also apparently a new DVD with all the videos from 1999 onwards coming.
Why they don't just put the lot out again in one uber package I don't know.
I'm VAGUELY tempted but I'd never watch it.
I have to say though, the double vinyl is packaged beautifully with the artwork reproduced properly and lyrics printed. Considering my original CD is a flimsy little digipack I'm still convincing myself this was a GOOD PURCHASEI agree. I remember being bemused at the time. I think the whole point was that it wasn't NORMAL Mylene. I think with that project, because it was so different to her usual work, they handled the promo, the artwork, everything differently so they could just say it was a "side project" if it bombed.
The only artist I know (dead or ALIVE) that rivals our MF in terms of fleecing the faithful is/was Bowie.it will be until they reissue it in a 8 disc mega set with lots of liner notes and unreleased stuff...
...seven reissues down the line in 2039

I always thought the Et released GOOD STUFF out of the vaults though? Like unreleased songs / special one-offs etc. whereas Mylene, Bowie and to a lesser extent (only in terms of sheer volume) Madonna are very much of the money for old rope school..You clearly aren't a Saint Etienne fan...
And we can't leave Madonna out of this either in terms of pointless reissues and keeping the good stuff back.
