Much like 'aaaargh's comment - these are 'relative' votes. Put any of my higher marks here up against my fave uptempo songs and they wouldn't have a prayer. So, in effect Caroline and SDF aren't getting 'real' 10's here, just RELATIVE TENS. None of this lot deserve an 11 of ANY kind!

I don't get why people dislike 'Never Been Here Before' so much, it may be derivative as hell, but it sounds lovely, in spite of the double negative.

I wasn't looking forward to it all that much, but it ended up comfortably outclassing Cookies n Beans country ballad effort, which I was anticipating rather more.

There is something in her voice that I am not wild about, but I do like the strings and mood of the song, not to mention the ridiculous lyrics - 'alive in the spirit of me' anyone?

No, no, I do LIKE Shirley - I have her 'Lever Mina Drömmar' CD and love her previous two MF entries. But this song and that HORRIBLE smug "yes I'm back and I know you just can't WAIT to vote for me and put me straight into the final where I will win" look on her face were just.... well hateful really.

As is most everything, VoR. I'm with you on this one, "Äntligen" runs rings around "Mr. Memory". When I first heard the title of Shirley's entry for this year, it immediately brought to mind the line from the Swedish version "Sakta fylls mitt inre utav ljus igen" (Slowly I'm filled inside with light again).
