Great premiere for season 3. I like the way they’ve built up the two sides. As always, Shiv and Geri are my favorites.

I also like the new pr agents and, especially, the new lawyer Lisa.

What I continue to like about the show is how well it keeps the tension high. I normally pause shows and movies a lot while I’m watching them but this really grabs me and I don’t.

Great premier…I just love the stupidity of it all.

I wonder if Shiv is going to turn on Logan but I don’t think so.

Needs more Marcia.

I was kind of hoping the episode was going to end with her showing up at the apartment Kendall is working from. But I guess that also would have been pretty obvious

Yeah I was also expecting her to crash the meeting with the lawyer.

What a TV show. It’s just so so effortless in everything it does and it’s filmed like a movie. Going to love this battle for the rest of the season.

I did think Shiv’s change of plan was to go to Kendall’s as she’s pretty much been fucked out of it but maybe too obvious. Maybe there’s a third prong of attack?

Loved the dialogue at the start with the
“they’re removing your access to the building…”
“They can’t do do that”
“Well uhhh they kinda are… so…”

Although I don’t understand where the second assistant appeared from? Maybe there were multiple vehicles for Kendall’s assistants??

Watching this now but I’m still reeling at the “oh the Pope started following you… oh wait that’s not the Pope, but it’s a pope” line :D

Amazing episode. This show stresses me out more than any horror movie!

more of the same really but then it's what i want.

did the show say siobhan did not get that lisa was representing the other side and didn't react proactively or am i being silly or was i too busy munching on that stuffed tomato to notice?

and i would like to echo phoenix in saying: we want marcia!

I see Marcia hasn't been added to the main cast, which is a shame. We'll have to settle for some scene stealing cameos.

They have promoted Dagmara Dominczyk to the main cast, which is interesting because she had quite a throwaway role in the first episode, so we'll see where that goes.

We need more of Cyd (Roman’s girlfriend), Cyd (dreary old board member lady) and Rhea, but sadly none of them will be back.

I had to rewatch last season finale because I had forgotten some of the details. The show continues in the same vein, not much has been added but it’s really just too exciting.

I think I have to re watch last season as I’ve forgotten who HALF these people are.
there’s a really good 4 minute recap on YouTube and on the Sky app the episode starts with it. It’s all I needed to catch up.

A brilliant first episode. I watched it twice  (because I often zone out and don't understand things the first time)

Kendall is hot when on the verge of a mental breakdown or whatever and absolutely ABHORRENT when being a cocky wanker

Kendall plays the deluded highly strung need daddy’s approval frat boy role so well. The mania when he was chatting to the publicists and the lawyers (“I’ll let you speak… but first let me just say… and also”) was so perfect and added to an already unbearable awkward tension across the whole episode. I feel dirty every time a Succession episode finishes.

@dUb doesn’t it remind you of US TV world a bit TOO much? :D I think the show is giving me PTSD!

I don’t find Kendall hot at all! But I do find Roman kind of hot

I found Roman so hot until I saw his finger nails a couple of seasons ago.

Kendall is always hot.

Roman? You bunch of sick fucks.

Although you just reminded me of my favourite bit of the episode, after Roman calls his dad and after Logan says “thanks Son” and hangs up and says “yeah Roman’s out” :D

This first episode was a non-stop scream, the interactions between Shiv and Roman, and Roman and Gerri especially.

I'd lay you badly, but I'd lay you gladly :D

Loved Episode 2. It really just works when it’s focussing on conversation and the 4 in the child’s bedroom was just fantastic.

And Marcia returns to really start EARNING :disco:

Yes the four of them bickering in that room was perfect, and then debating whether it was safe to eat daddy's doughnuts :D

Cracking episode. Shiv looked scary when she was pissed, she’s the most ruthless of the bunch.

Roman is just so hot. I can’t.

Yeah excellent episode. Really felt for Shiv when Rape Me started blaring but she was after blood once she’d opened his diary. I feel the letter was out of order though and was nice of Roman or Connor not to sign it (aware they wanted more sucky-suck out of it).

I can see Gerri defecting. She knows it’s a shit show and she’s getting feelers no one’s taking her seriously.

I love Jess. So absolutely out of her depth :D

God everything is escalating so quickly.

I'm fasincated by how they've managed to make Kendall even more of a dick even though he was first positioned as the saviour defector at the end of last season. Everything he does screams raging narcissist. Jeremy Strong plays the part SO well, switching from cocky bastard to vulnerable manchild multiple times in every scene.

They certainly get a lot of mileage out of the various family members playing mental chess with each other. Shiv's facial expressions when Logan was asking her if she trusts him was so good.

Also the inner rage from Shiv when she storms into his office after the failed staff conference and spits in his book. Amazing.

Loved the episode, but I do think they should have just got Samantha Bee or Amber Ruffin in to play the TV pundit. The one they did use was distractingly bad.

You’ve never heard of Ziwe? She played herself (she has a Showtime show).

This was so good, I loved how many layers Adrienne Brody was wearing. Like how many vests can you fit on one man.

Yeah I also thought she was really poor. Was surprised to read she was the real deal.

I thought tonight was bit of a slow burn but somehow still completely gripping. The slow walk through the fields back to Josh’s house was done so well - not much was happening but I was on edge for all of it.

Surely Shiv is gonna spin eventually? Always undermined and is clearly their for optics. She’s been told before that she was the one and it never came to fruition.

the Tom and Greg scenes are the best. I keep switching between curling my toes and laughing. I was so unnerved by the castration and marriage comment :D
