The Apprentice 2025

That was such a boring episode though. It’s taken 19 seasons to get to this point for me but I really think I’m finally over it :(

We kinda said the same last week too. And then it was cemented when S’ralan came on begging for new contestants as the credits rolled.

I don't think I'm 'over' it to the extent that I'll still seek it out on iPlayer, but it stopped being appointment to view TV a long time ago, and if it wasn't for moopy, I'd have nowhere to discuss it at all. I've not plans on giving if up this series now I'm this far in, but it's not inconceivable.

Also why did they suddenly decide to name the teams several episodes in, random!

Pretty sure they did that around episode 3 or 4 last year too.

Just caught up on last week’s episode and it was much better than episode 3. Honestly, one of the worst project manager performances of all time there. I do feel a bit for her though - she really is not able to communicate with people at all. Zero interpersonal skills.

Jana’s departure has been flagged in social media and newspapers for weeks now - but does anyone know if he goes before or after the task? Hoping it’s before so the episode isn’t a damp squib just waiting for him to resign.

Yes, I'm fairly sure I remember the same happening last year, but then forgot all about it initially this year.

Slightly disappointed they weren't made to be called team potato and team tomato going forward though :(

I haven’t watched this in years and can’t face it now, but it turns out I’ve encountered Max a few times through work things. Has he had much screentime so far? How’s he coming across? (On the obvious sliding scale of Apprentice contestant awfulness)

Intelligent and a front runner

I thought this too about episode 3 and turned it off mid-way which is the first time I’ve ever done that in all 19 seasons.

However, episode 4 was hilarious and maybe one of the best ever, I love a disaster boss :disco:

It feels like so many tasks now are clearly designed to make them fail, rather than show any actual skill, acumen or enterprise. I suppose it's been like that for several years already, but it seems to be getting worse with each passing year. Or perhaps the novelty has just worn off.

However, as last week showed, there still are glimmers of the show of old.

This week just felt very anticlimactic.

I don't find Max particularly interesting, but that's probably a good sign considering how the show chooses to edit contestants.

I'd say his overall impression is favourable and he's never appeared less than competent. At this stage I imagine he's got a great chance of making the interviews.

My main worry for him would be Sugar deciding to get rid of him due to sport background and/or being perceived as too 'corporate' and not the type he seems to like working with.

I haven't watched this season yet, are we still making estate agents and accountants do fictional "Tesco said they'll buy £400 million of your cat food!!" tasks?

Don't be ridiculous!

Last night it was 'Tesco said they'll buy 150k units of your Easter Eggs'.

Be lucky if this show reaches the calibre of having an estate agent on it these days

Same!!!

I honestly feel like I remember you making this exact same post a few times over the years 😂

I love that they call him the ‘ex tennis pro’. He never made the top 2000 and played 21 matches in his entire ‘career’…

Oh I definitely have. I don't know if it's actually getting worse though, or my patience wearing increasingly thin with it.

That may worry me in terms of it potentially being used against him, then. I wonder if his business plan is related to tennis?

I’m pretty sure it will be otherwise they wouldn’t keep mentioning it because it’s hardly actually a big part of his prior career. He stopped playing over 10 years ago according to the ITF website.

Was that the first time he said hypothetical sales?

As if anyone still believed Tesco were blowing £300,000 on the company Amex on a turd

Did we know they are recording a celeb version of this at the moment?

Is this episode just a state-sponsored attempt to make “Türkiye” happen? Somewhat undermined by them having pronounced it about four different ways already :eyes:

I hope Chisola stays. I imagine Karren's saying she'd been strong in previous tasks, compared to Johnny having done little all the way through should save her.

Yeah guessed Jonny was going about 5 minutes into the episode when they mentioned he’d not been team leader or sub team leader in 6 weeks. That’s pretty impressive shying away…!!

He was hard work with his waterworks and I found his voice insanely annoying so I’m really glad he went.

It took me 6 weeks to decide on a crush but oddly I think it’s Keir. 🙈

Vodafone must really hate their employees to send them on that

Also have to say I think Mia might be the most capable contestant for many a year. Always seems very confident and no nonsense.

Pfffrt at Dean surviving that a double firing on that task.

The Essex wide boy wheeler dealer types always survive longer than they should

He absolutely deserved to go over everyone else in that team. Frederick going before there was even a discussion was bizarre - he was not great but nowhere near the worst I’ve seen. And Dean was the weakest by a mile - not listening to the girls was the reason for the failure of the task.

There was no way that Keir’s pitch lost them £500k’s worth of investment.

I really enjoyed:

Lord Sugar: Malica, it seems you just get pushed to the side…
Malica: can I just say…?
Lord sugar: (pushes her aside) I said I don’t wanna hear any more!

😂

Still fuming that the beautiful Keir got fired when he wasn't even going to get brought back to the boardroom

Same.

And Dean back in the bottom group again and survives AGAIN.

The only one who really seems to be good at all is Mia.

Anisa is the person with the most misplaced overconfidence this season...

Yeah Mia seems to be the safest choice so far (although every time I see her on screen I’m not convinced it isn’t Daniela Denby-Ashe).

You have to wonder how much time between the idea of the ads and the production of them is, or how much of the ideas are down to the candidates. For them to have these ideas and the next scene is them filming them with all crew, location, actors, wardrobe etc in place boils my piss.

Nadia said when she was booted that her team were given a choice of those two dishes, so I suspect that a lot of these tasks with 'ideas' are very similarly constructed, with everything already set up ready to go.

Please can they get rid of Liam? I HATE HIS VOICE.
