It really is fantastic, start to finish. So RICH sounding throughout. That first track - DIVINE!

Am I mad or is Birthday Baby an ode to Joe Biden? a nod to her scrapped anti Trump album - she's celebrating his "birthday" instead (although she's clearly singing to a female )

Swim to New York State and Flowers Burn to Gold are so emotional. They capture the pain she feels of losing her mother without being too cheesy or on the nose.

This and Native Invader are both instantly SO GOOD. LOVE HER.

Then she hits us with the mellow TOE TAPPER that is Metal Water Wood!

Swim To New York State is quite EPIC isn't it? And my immediate stand out.
How Glass Is Made is my only initial dud.


KIND OF obsessed with the Tori-does-early-Lana Birthday Baby song shoved on to the end of the tracklist?
Clearly recorded in the same sessions as the album, but not sure if it really relates to the rest of it.
It almost feels like Tori saw a chance to give Tash a special birthday present by plopping it out on the end of the album, knowing the fanz would lap it up anyway...her MIND!
