Another new low for Gladiators - first time below 3.5m. It's now only narrowly above what Dancing On Ice started the last series with.

Just to be clear, those Adolescence numbers are in addition to the figures last week - so it's currently at an average of 10.591m

Three of the four episodes of Last One Laughing on Prime were also in the top 50 shows, the highest with 2.976m. As the fourth episode didn't chart I don't have access to the figure to calculate an average, but best case scenario (i.e. the same figure as the #50 show), it would have an average of 2.604m and miss out on the chart anyway.

Ah thats a shame after climbing back to over 4 million the week previous. Not sure if the week break its had will help matters. Its the start of the school holidays and nicer weather so will families be in watching TV?
Still a third series is commissioned and I hope they do it fairly with the schedules. I think it should be on a tad later, but the original series was same time i think, definitely in the early stages anyway

That's VERY impressive for Last One Laughing though, even if you took worst case scenario which is surely still over 2 million. Surely the highest ever result for Prime?

Someone on Instagram said 'why isn't Adolescence on mainstream TV?'... I replied 'in what way in 2025 is Netflix NOT mainstream tv?' It's great to see streaming shows doing so well (and Last One Laughing was really good, silly fun).

This City Is Ours is quite a flop then? It’s very much like a UK Kin. I love it of course.

The bloke i've seen on the Ads looks GEORGROUS. Worth a watch?

He is in A Thousand Blows on Disney too as Stephen Graham's brother.

I've just watched the second episode and I'm very interested to see where it is going to go.

That's the last two episodes of Last One Laughing charting - the first 4 didn't chart this week, but as the last two dropped a week later it feels appropriate to average those two separately from the first four that had their moment last week.

Adolescence just missed out on a place in the top 20 again with a further 2.705m. That means it has a total average of just under 13.3m now.

Also just missing out is Reacher series 3 episode 8 on Prime which pulled 2.679m. That seems to be dropping week by week (except for the first three episode, it appears), but it's the first time it has appeared in the top 50.

Is Beyond Paradise and Death In Paradise not essentially the same thing? I thought they were on at different times of the year.

I've never watched it, but it's a spin off, isn't it? Like Holby City was to Casualty.

I think so. I can’t remember them being on at the same time before but that doesn’t mean it isn’t always the case as I have paid little attention to it.

As a dutiful son I watched the most recent Christmas specials of each. Beyond is essentially Death In, but in England and without the black cast. I was pleasantly surprised that my dad didn't have a preference.

(Objectively Beyond Paradise was far superior - essentially Doc Martin meets Jonathan Creek - but I HAVE BLACK FRIENDS)

Now you've got me intrigued. I've never watched Doc Martin, but have always been quite the fan of Jonathan Creek, Musty Minge era at least.

To manage expectations, the one I saw was very much Doc Martin meets *late era* JC, in the sense that the reveal was a load of daft bollocks.

That's the first time for several weeks that there hasn't been any Netflix/Prime/Disney shows in the top 50.

I've not seen Protection yet. I've no doubt we will watch it, as Mr L was a fan of Underbelly, and the creator/writer of Protection was a writer on that.

It does seem to have done well, but I've read relatively little about it, other than a few articles about Finneran herself.

Hoping the finale of Gladiators can push it back towards or over the 4m
The viewing figures over this series have followed a similar overall pattern to the first, albeit from a lower starting point, with a resulting smaller drop off. And last year it did tick up for the finale, but only slightly - it added 120k over the second semi final, which still made it the third lowest audience of the series. This year again (assuming the finale doesn't drop lower), the two semi finals had the lowest audiences of the series.

This City Is Ours doesn’t seem to be catching on. It is BRILLIANT. I heard the dance was now a TikTok trend so hoped it would bring in viewers. :(
