Adding more bread. For 1kg. of tomatoes I add around 180-200 grs of bread (and 150 gr. olive oil). Fine if you like it less thick, but the real one should be able to be eating with a fork. I never saw anyone having salmorejo in a glass or drinking it, like you do with gazpacho; the real one has the texture of a cream. Then you can do it however you like it, but this is like when they serve those poor tourists "paella" with prawns and mussels. Yummy, but that's not paella 🤷‍♂️

I was trying to be informative, not elitist, sorry if my sense of humour was missunderstood. I actually don't get offended if your salmorejo is not thick enough or don't add rabbit to your paella. I wanted to alert you that if they serve you salmorejo as anything close to a soup, it won't be Good enough. That happens here A LOT, in the north of the country they serve something they call salmorejo. I made my friend scream when she tried the one I make after years having "soup". Whatever, if I couple of posts like this is tiring or bothers anyone, this place has changed a lot. I don't even know why I logged in. Have a good day. x

I do love a big pot of chunky vegetable soup. Never blended.

We got given tinned scotch broth when we were young but I don't actually remember what it is.

I made an egg drop soup the other day. That's the last time I follow a YouTube short video. It was fucking disgusting.
