Such an exciting semi! We're bound to lose some quality however it shakes out. The only complete write-offs I think are Ireland and Azerbaijan, everything else could conceivably slip through with a strong performance.

I'm astounded and tbh highly disturbed that anyone thinks Croatia is going to qualify :shock::shock::shock:

If (the far superior) Leto Svet didn't appeal to voters, then THAT certainly isn't going to!

My taste can be quite questionable at times - soz :D And plus this semi is so damn hard to predict (bar the frontrunners) - might have been easier if the juries still had a say 'cause you know the Netherlands would undoubtedly make it... :rolleyes:

I just realised that I've not even listened to it - I'm still shockingly traumatised by Eat Your Salad - but I have now and it's a no. So I have no idea why I voted for it to qualify :tongueout:
 
I think it being televote only helps Ireland slightly, since it’s at least attempting to be anthemic and the ButterTarts of Europe might be swayed into chucking it a few points because we’re shockingly easily suited. I think the lack of jury will do serious damage to Switzerland and the Netherlands.

I heard it for the first time last night and it was initially a strong no, but by the end of the song I had warmed to elements of it. A little.

I think my initial response was a kneejerk one to the singer's awful blouson. WHAT WAS HE THINKING?

In that case slightly surprised to not see more votes for Azerbaijan. Not to sound like a clueless boomer but Televote only does mean a bump for the usual suspects with many nearby FRIENDS and dodgy tactics... And the song's rubbish but when does that ever stop people voting for a pair of cuties of the evening?

Just trying to brace myself for DISAPPOINTMENT I guess
 
I'm starting to wonder about Azerbaijan too, but they scored zero on the televote last year. Now that the juries are gone it'll be interesting to see if they return to their old tactics. Keep an eye on where the twelves from Czech Republic and Malta go...

Song wise it does stand out a bit and I can see a world where it performs similarly to Kedvesem from 2013. But I'm still hoping it'll get lost among the more impactful songs.
 
And let’s be honest Azerbaijan’s entry last year was much more telegenic than these SICKLY looking twinks.

Yes, Azerbaijan also tend to elevate mediocre entries with strong staging, but I'm really not sure what they're going to be able to do with the twink death twosome.
