Girls Aloud NOT ON TOUR NOW

I need you to cool me

Cool me

Cool me

We almost get the Thin White Duke remix Mr Brightside synths as it fizzes into The Loving Kind. Jesus fucking Kimberly Walsh Christ at how good this is.

That is a romp of a megamix (as you would expect).

However if it is really is THE WHOLE DAMN SHOW (and I personally don't mind spoilers but revealing your setlist via megamix before the opening night is a strange choice), there is one single missing that I am a little miffed/surprised about.

The absolutely monumental megamix is 38 minutes long, so I don't think it's the drag n' drop concert as I thought it was (I was about to go to sleep and then suddenly was losing my mind at how amazing that was - that was surreal, I can't recommend it enough). So no spoilers from me - just commenting on what was posted in the thread and by the band themselves :disco:

There seems to be a 40-minute (!) Megamix coming out tonight called The Whole Damn Show

Not sure if it's the setlist PER SE
I’ve been listening to this and I forget how many excellent songs they have.

So the megamix was not exactly the setlist played last night in Dublin:

Looks good. The 'deep cuts' are not that surprising as they've been ones that have been mentioned, but they are favourites for a reason. I figured Life Got Cold would probably not feature, and not fussed about the other cover singles. I would have liked The Loving Kind, though that is basically a Sarah lead and maybe they decided having her on the screen singing 'I'm not the loving kind' would not have had a fitting vibe.

If someone has seen the setlist, can you tell me whether I should avoid this megamix or is it pretty unrelated?

Trying to word this without being spoilerific myself. There are some differences between the megamix tracks and the setlist from last night. However the inclusion of certain songs in the megamix could be seen as a spoiler.

Right, I'll avoid until I've been.

Thank you!

From the videos I've seen, it looks great. Really good set design without spoiling anything. However the flared trouser outfits are horrible! What were they thinking? The other outfits are good though thank god.

As for the setlist, pretty standard really with a couple of surprises. I've seen a few comments about the length being too short but they've never played more than 20 songs on any tour.

I'd say the only thing that immediately struck me about the setlist was
No Loving Kind :( - apart from that I agree with all of the singles left off. I also thought they could have done one or two more deep cuts/fan faves, ie Rolling Back the Rivers/Miss You Bow Wow. Love that they open with Untouchable. Cannot wait

The Loving Kind was Sarah's signature song. She came into her own on that one so I imagine that's why it was omitted as it would be weird hearing someone else sing those killer lines.

The full show is on YouTube so my evening is sorted. So far I’m not loving the outfits

She started the song singing verse 2 by mistake btw

Anyway the show really was TREMENDOUS

The biggest shock for me was

the footage on the screens for On The Metro pretty much being a (recently-filmed) fully fledged MUSIC VIDEO :disco: :disco:

Lets hope that drops properly and we hear it ALL OVER RADIO 2 this summer

This is the review I needed.

What was the overall staging like? I dunno but from the clips I’ve seen and money paid I was maybe expecting a bit more?

I really enjoyed the show. I think the outfits were questionable but the setlist is pretty amazing. I can’t say how spot on the vocals were because it’s a YouTube audience shot video but the crowd seemed to be loving it. I think the staging was pretty simple but amazing. I’d definitely go see it live if I could.

Video for the megamix with some UNSEEN FOOTAGE from the shoots it seems

Think it’s the final night in each city that aren’t shifting so well but from what I’ve seen it’s not terrible.
