Girls Aloud NOT ON TOUR NOW

Great news etc and no shade intended and I’m sure they’ve done the market research but isn’t that a slightly over ambitious itinerary? I’m not that familiar with their previous UK tour track record so maybe I’m speaking out of turn..
:hostage:

Oh come on, they've sold out MULTIPLE DATES in MULTIPLE ARENAS!

The Saturdays' Greatest Hits Tour it ain't :oi:

Also I've seen murmurs on PJ that they have in fact recorded new material :eyes: and it wasn't very good :eyes::eyes:

What is with Cheryl’s HAIR? It’s very like RATS TAILS in that video.

I mean that tattoo is fucking abominable. I hate shit tattoos.

I just got where “the whole damn show” comes from (Crocodile Tears) 🥴

Saw it in Manchester last night with @Soldi @GNL and the elusive chanteuse that is Beverley.

Incredible. The setlist really is all killer no filler. We didn’t sit down once for the entire show.

Nadine has such drag queen energy :disco:
Nicola was in great voice and seemed the most sincerely moved to be back on stage.
Cheryl got the biggest cheers by far. I thought her singing was surprisingly strong.
Kimberley was there :D

The Sarah stuff was beautifully judged I thought, just the right amount to appropriately honour and include her. I definitely teared up a bit at one point.

As for the absence of one song, hardly a surprise given they’ve never made any secret that they all hate it :bruised:

I have been watching clips and thought that about Cheryl's vocals too. I couldn't work out if her mic was turned up higher than the others...

I am going 22nd June and can't wait :disco:

If you were told before with no context that one of the four of them had spent significant time on the West End, you would NEVER in a million years guess it was Kimberley :D

Bless her, but even her iconic spoken word bits felt like a struggle!

Why are people surprised about Cheryl’s vocal powerhouse performance. Have they not seen “Set The Fire to The Third Bar”

Really glad you loved it VoR! I’m getting excited for Leeds now!

A lot of the clips I’ve seen have people out with their phones which makes the atmosphere look a bit static I think. Does that come across in person?

(I know that’s not a problem exclusive to Girls Aloud)

I wouldn’t say so. We were up in the gods though so maybe it’d be more noticeable if you were on the floor.

Those plus Whole Lotta History are the big ones, but she’s featured throughout really

Is it not selling well?
The first and second nights sold well but the extra dates added havent at all. There are loads of tickets for them. The cheap seats at the back are almost completely unsold at most arenas.

When I saw talk of half price tickets I did consider Cardiff. But the only tickets left there are resale ones at £240 each. But then that's a small arena and only one night.

It was pretty much a full house last night too.

Video for the megamix with some UNSEEN FOOTAGE from the shoots it seems

As someone who never really watched any of their MVs, this was a fun trip. They seem to have a lot of vehicular visuals in their videos and some interesting hair choices. :D

Also, bless the ladies but they really don’t present a lot of charisma on video aside from Cheryl

I literally cannot wait for this, I still think standing at the o2 for TEN was one of the best concerts i've ever been to in terms of enjoyment :disco:

Just listened to the Girls Aloud Takeover on Radio 2 this afternoon, its a nice listen on BBC Sounds if you missed it, and nice to hear so many Girls Aloud tracks in two hours on the wireless! Bag It Up was also played :disco:

Saw them last night in Cardiff and concur with pretty much everything already said.

The setlist is easily the best of any gig I've ever been to in terms of what's included and how it's arranged. While I'd happily go and see them do pretty much the same again, in many respects, I'd also be content for this to be their legacy. The circumstances alone dictate it being a very different affair to Ten, but it never quite sat right that they'd ended on what ended up coming across like a bit of a half-hearted contractual obligation. Every moment from start to finish here feels like the celebration that Girls Aloud deserve(d).

I don't know about other dates but I was quite surprised with...

...the reaction that No Good Advice got. Despite reaching #2, I'd never really considered it a massive favourite. However, it quite possibly got the biggest reaction of the night and came alive in the venue. It's certainly made me re-evaluate just what a great track it is.

All the Sarah stuff :(

It’s Roberts’s turn to bellow: “LESS WIND OTHERWISE IT’S GOING TO LOOK LIKE A TOILET ROLL COVER.” :D

Roberts – always portrayed in the tabloids as the miserable one – starts to laugh. “She brought a pouch with these stones in and we all picked one and I was last and mine – and this is hilarious – says ‘smile’.”

:D
