Beb she doesn’t have that RANGE!When the genre she decides to channel is Sarah Bonnici's 'Loop', then somebody please tag me.
Feel free to start the thread in the Forum ForumWhy don't we put it to a poll?
I mean .. it seems absurd to me that we have Enya and Mylene Farmer forums and not a Beyonce one?
And yes I know I put forward the case for the Mylene forum - but it was a trial and it's a bit of a ghost town (reference to her slasher movie notwithstanding) so I'm happy for it to go.
I REFUSE to believe this!I’m probably too much of a purist snob when it comes to dance music though.
RENAISSANCE is one of the best albums of the past ten years by anyone.
People (well one person) actually post in the Enya forum.Mylène can only go when the fucking ENYA forum is removed.
This is a bit icky. Some people just don't like the same music as you beb.whatever is really being judged here I don't think it's the music.
oh really? I had no idea. Some people just don't like the same music as you beb.
my TIGHT ARSE
I mean, imagine listening to this and NOT thinking fuck this one of the most joyous, catchy, endlessly quotable, sickeningly well produced pop bangers of the decade? couldn't be me...
whatever is really being judged here I don't think it's the music. average at best/meandering old toot my TIGHT ARSE
It certainly SEEMS that wayoh really? I had no idea.
oh, you are?lit's fairly well established (in my mind at least) that you apply banger to anything with a beat. Which is fine, but I'm a little more discerning, for better or worse.
that's why taste is personal.

the album is absolutely bursting with pockets of joy. if you can't hear that or think it's an album "without much depth" (despite being a literal ode to decades of black and queer dance music history wrapped up inside a modern genre fluid dance record - and probably one of the most sonically and thematically complex albums by a big star in many years), I just... think you haven't really listened.Beyonce's music is many things but "joyous" is not one of them. Renaissance was fine. There just wasn't much depth to it so it got boring kinda quick.
I stand by it! I think for whatever reason Beyonce is considered joyless and aloof and maybe people find her unexciting because Lemonade was a bit that, and that impression has stuck. but Renaissance isn't joyless or unexciting. and on a forum full of gays who cream over any old mediocrity, it is suspicious that nobody likes it. in wider pop culture it does seem to be recognised as the best or one of the best pop albums of this decade at least.PICK A LANE
