Convicted Felon Donald Trump - The Wilderness Years - GUILTY! ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ•ตโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‘จโ€โš–๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ”’

I know this is the kind of thing that could be dredged up in two years when weโ€™re all sitting with our heads in our hands in disbelief yet again, but this really could not be better news. He might well win the Primaries given his rabid base, but the Republicans will tear themselves to shreds in the process. Virtually nobody outside the most hardcore MAGAs wanted him to do this after the midterm disaster.

If Ron DeSantis goes after him hard, he could alienate that MAGA base, so heโ€™s stuck between a rock and a hard place as well.

Itโ€™ll be interesting to see where the other Trump loyalists/opportunists like Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz fall over the next few days tooโ€ฆ

we have to pray that they do nominate him over DeSantis, because Trump cannot win. he's too toxic for the G(O)P now.

I read an interesting NYT piece yesterday grilling 17 swing voters, many of whom voted Trump the first time and then, reluctantly, Biden. almost all said they'd vote for DeSantis next time.

The trouble is Trump can't win but can any other candidate win without him? There is a significant group of people for whom it is Trump or no-one (you've seen that absolute rocket Jon Voight - he's not alone). So they need to persuade him to back a new candidate.

Well, that's exactly the problem. But, fuck them because they knew what they were getting into and the GOP are all absolute monsters anyway.

The political trajectory parallels to the U.K. are shocking. Difference being of course is that Boris didnโ€™t even get 5 minutes to consider running again. He was sent packing by his own party before the backlash could begin. Trump however doesnโ€™t play by rules or listen to advice. He will be top dog again, even if he takes the country down with him.

It probably is bad news for the GOP, but Iโ€™m worried how much further damage it will do to the country in the meantime. These MAGA nutjobs have already shown their true colours once, who knows what theyโ€™ll do if he rises and falls again.

Seeing Trump go back to hawking random crap with his name on feels like nature is healing. I feel like I'm going to wake up in 2008 and it's comforting to me.

And I love seeing the trading cards with him in all of his various get ups.

It's giving me Tobias's acting resume :disco:

If he sells all 45,000 cards he's making $4.5 million, as cash grabs go virtually anybody would be able to brainstorm something better.
